There is no need to plan your play time with a particularly strong purpose. Sleep until you wake up naturally and play as much as you want. However, there are some minor issues with traveling alone. You can only choose one-person meals. For places like hot pot and large restaurants, the cost is slightly higher for one person to eat, and it is easy to waste food if you can’t finish it. Three meals a day were irregular. I only thought of eating when I was hungry while walking around alone. No one shared the accommodation equally. If you are traveling on a budget, you may end up booking a room with mediocre overall quality. No one helped take photos. If you are not particularly interested in photo quality, you can also use a selfie stick or ask passersby to help. (For friends who yearn for freedom, these problems may not be problems at all haha~) The most important thing is to stay safe and stay healthy. No matter when or where, both come first. I could not find much information online when I wanted to watch the show, so here is everything I was able to gather. The show starts at 21:00 at the South Gate of the ancient city. Once you get out you can easily find the stands in front of it. However, the South Gate closes at 20:00. You have two options: 1. Get out before the gate closes, you then have to wait around for an hour before the show starts. There's not much to do apart from watching the sellers, but you have the advantage of being able to secure a seat. 2. Get out later through another gate. The closest is the Small South Gate, it can take 15-20mn to walk from this gate to the South Gate, so make sure you have enough time. This option has the advantage of not wasting time. The show usually starts at 21:00 sharp, and lasts around 20mn. Once it's over, you can head back to the city via one of the other gates. There are a lot of people offering to drive you back anywhere you need. This can be very convenient if your hotel is far from the south gate. In my opinion, the light show is not very interesting.
