So many emotions after Guilin trip, wow, even it was over Chinese New Year and we were never alone…
Let me share a short summary below, of what I found the best:
1. I suggest one full day for Guilin, all walkable (and hikable, if you dare). Absolutely not to miss Two Rivers and Four Lakes evening boat trip with great light show (and live show!). My pick for restaurant is Zen Sculpture Art Restaurant, if you find time to visit them, you will find out why
2. Longji Terraces is a must. Get a driver, you need two hours each way but it absolutely worth it, start early! Stop in minority village for super-long-hair show and try to leave it without buying a souvenir… Then go to Dazhai village and take a cable car, it is a bigger place. I suggest doing cable car both ways, then leave the 2nd half of the day for Pingan village. Second village deserves more time and more walking, including walking down. if you are a hiker or this is a top season, stay overnight and do two days there!
3. River Li Four Star 4-hour Cruise is the best to get for river+hills+20RMB views plus a nice lunch. Best you use this boat to transfer to Yangshuo to stay rest couple days there, otherwise you will enjoy 1.5 hour commutes later, like we did.
4. Silver Cave in Yangshuo is a must. Fantastic lights and views not to be missed. About 2 kilometers walk inside, not hard and so many wow moments, get your camera ready!
5. Peak Ruyi in Yangshuo is a best (and easiest!) way to get enough of top-of-the-mountain views. Good walks in between with good half a day needed for this all together. Can be crowded but the place is really big. Please enjoy the glass flour walks, they are fun, uh!
6. Guilin Romance Show in Yangshuo is a great way to get a nice performance in the evening (best shows starts then), buy a closer ticket and enjoy the show

Ping'an Village
After seeing the grandeur of the Jin Pit Village, we come to the quaint and primitive Ping'an Village, which is stunning. Along the plank road, we saw seven small hills like seven twinkling stars accompanying the crescent moon-shaped field on the mountain top, which is the poetic and picturesque 'Seven Stars Accompanying the Moon'. Walking back to the Nine Dragons and Five Tigers Viewing Platform, a huge, majestic, and domineering 'tiger's back' is clearly revealed, exuding an untamed power that commands the winds and clouds, so spectacular... You'll really regret it if you don't come to see it during the upcoming National Day holiday～
✅ The bus from Guilin Station to the destination is 💰50 per person; we drove there ourselves
✅ On the way to Longsheng, friends who drive must pay attention to safety, as it is almost all winding mountain roads (it is advised not to play with your phone, otherwise it's easy to get car sick and feel uncomfortable)
✅ Ticket price for the scenic area🎫: 💰80 per person (excluding cable car and sightseeing car fees)
We drove to the mid-mountain area and needed to park the 🚗 properly and take the sightseeing car to Nine Dragons and Five Tigers (💰50 for a round trip); after arriving, just walk down the path for about 10 minutes and you'll be able to see these beautiful views

The Longji Rice Terraces have a total of 4 villages: Ping'an Zhuang Village, Ancient Zhuang Village, Xiaozhai Red Yao Rice Terraces, and Jinkeng Red Yao Rice Terraces (Dazhai)～Among them, the village with more spectacular views and earlier development is Ping'an Village; here you can find the 'Nine Dragons and Five Tigers' and 'Seven Stars with the Moon' viewing platforms; due to time constraints, we only went to Nine Dragons and Five Tigers～
