I went to Florence in Tuscany, Italy! 🇮🇹 This retro and cute brick city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Giotto's Campanile in Piazza del Duomo offers a panoramic view of the city. 🗼 You may think that the Duomo is more popular, but that's why you must climb this tower to see the view including the Duomo! The beautiful brick cityscape was spectacular. 🌆 ⚠️There are places to rest here and there, but the stairs have quite a few steps, so you must wear comfortable shoes! I recommend bringing water with you! There is also a luggage storage area, so those with large luggage or souvenirs can rest assured. 😌 I bought the GIOTTO PASS this time for 20€ per adult. In addition to Giotto's Campanile, you can enter the Baptistery of San Giovanni, the ruins of the Santa Reparata Cathedral, and the Cathedral Museum. The cityscape of Florence is very easy to see and walk around. I highly recommend climbing Giotto's Campanile, where you can get a panoramic view of the whole city of Florence. Also, if you line up at around 8am, you can get in right away at the Uffizi Gallery. I definitely recommend trying the gelato.

　I went to Florence and Pisa! 　I only stayed in Florence for about a day, but was able to see the main tourist spots! 　Unlike Rome, I think you can purchase tickets for all the facilities on the day without making a reservation. 　Also, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is about 1.5 hours away by train! 　The only tourist attraction is the main one, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but the impact of its tilt is amazing so I was very satisfied! 　I didn't make a reservation in advance, but it was quite empty so I was able to choose the time I wanted. 　If you're worried about availability, you can make a reservation online in advance, although it's in English (if you look at the online explanation page it looks like anyone can make a reservation!)

#OverseasTravelRecord Although the number of tourists was overwhelming, it was a trip full of cultural impressions that allowed me to feel the history of Rome and Florence. Honestly, I recommend Florence over Rome. Although it doesn't have as many historical cultural assets as Rome, the many artworks and mansions collected by the Medici family are very worth seeing. Of course, you should go to Rome since you've come all the way to Italy, but why not spend a day or two in Florence?

For Koreans, the Duomo in Florence is famous for the novel and movie “Passion and Cold Heart.” Even if you don’t go up and just look at it from the outside, it’s a very beautiful and romantic building. Be sure to try the famous Florentine steak near the Duomo Square.
