I arrived just in time for the evening, and the lighting was absolutely perfect. A straight man like my husband might not find it interesting to come here for a whole day, but girls who love photography would probably scream with excitement, haha! I recommend coming on a Sunday, so you can also enjoy the weekend market at night, which is more fun and has lots of delicious food! If you want to take pictures of these colorful little houses, navigate to the Thai Hua Museum, and the surrounding streets are full of beautiful houses to photograph to your heart's content!

Converted from an old school for the Chinese in Phuket, it's now a 2-storey museum showcasing the history of Chinese immigrants that rooted here. The building itself is a unique architecture during its time, incorporating Greek and Roman styles, including the balustrade on Level 2 decorated in Art Deco Style. There are several rooms with images and captions describing how and why the Chinese settled in Phuket, a few of the more prominent figures at that time, the culture, festivals celebrated and the food. I spent about an hour there, was OK to kill some time and hide from the heat, but I don't think it was worth the entrance fees though. The museum also reminded me much of the Han Chin Pet Soo museum in Ipoh.
