Phra That Sri Song Rak was built during the reign of King Sai Setthathirat in 1560 and completed in 1563. Phra That Sri Song Rak was built to be a witness to the mutual assistance between Ayutthaya and Sri Satta Na Kana Hut(Vientiane, Laos). They made a pledge not to encroach on each other's territory. in addition, inside the temple, there is a Buddha statue in the Naga Parak posture, Lan Xang art, dressed in Ayutthaya attire. The Naga Parak head is made of stone, which the Buddha statue is made of bronze. It is a peaceful, shady, beautiful place with a history worth studying.
