Phra That Nong Khai
#summerdream Phra That Nong Khai or Phra That Klang Nam or another name Phra That La Nong is a large pagoda on the bank of the Mekong River. Because the river is fast, it has eroded the bank until the pagoda collapsed into the river. Currently, the pagoda is submerged in the middle of the Mekong River, 180 meters from the Thai bank. It is another tourist attraction in Nong Khai that you must stop by. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Phra That La Nong, Nong Khai Province
Phra That La Nong or Phra That Klang Nam is located in Tambon Hat Kham. In 1847, the Phra That was eroded by water and collapsed into the Mekong River, approximately 200 meters from the shore. Inside the Phra That are enshrined 9 Phra Borom Thats of the Footprints. According to the legend of the Urankathu (Phra That Phanom), an underwater survey by the Archaeological Unit 7 found that the Phra That has a base 17.2 meters wide on each side, tapering at the base, and 28.5 meters high, broken into 3 pieces. It is assumed that it was built around the 20th-22nd Buddhist century because it has a shape similar to Phra That Bang Phuan. Currently, a Phra That La Nong or Phra That Klang Nam (replica) has been built so that future generations can remember the long-standing relationship between the people on both sides of the Mekong River. #MongTakesYouTo

Amazing!! Krathong floating against the current @Phra That Klang Nam
Don't miss out on the three amulets!! Pay homage to the Phra That Klang Nam in Nong Khai Province, or Phra That La Nong, a pagoda that contains ancient relics of the Lord Buddha for hundreds of years. When you start praying, a cloud in the shape of a naga appears in the sky. On the surface of the water, there are waves resembling snake scales. So, you get a cloth to wrap the Phra That and bring a Naga-shaped krathong to worship. When you release the krathong by the boat, it floats to the Phra That Klang Nam. But when the chanting stops, the krathong floats away from the Phra That Klang Nam and floats away with the current. #amaizing #Nong Khai is worth visiting #unbelievable stories #belief

This pagod
This pagoda is located in the middle of the Wat That area, on the banks of the Mekong River. You can see the base of the pagoda in the middle of the water that has fallen sideways from the Mekong River eroding the banks in the past for more than 5 meters. Villagers have brought cloth to wrap it and planted colorful flags and national flags at the base of the pagoda in the middle of the water that has emerged. It can be said to be an important tourist attraction. #Songkran tourist attractions
