The Great Stupa of Chai Mongkol

Highlights - It is a large and exquisite pagoda, using contemporary art from the Central and Northeastern regions, combining Phra Pathom, Chedi and Phra That Phanom.
Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkhon was designed by the Fine Arts Department in white, decorated with dazzling golden patterns, surrounded by small pagodas in all 8 directions, built on an area of 101 rai, 101 meters wide, 101 meters long, and 101 meters high, with a total of 109 meters of gold. It used 4,750 baht of gold, or about 60 kilograms. Inside the pagoda, it is like being in heaven.
The first floor is a large and magnificent hall, with walls inscribed with the names of various lords, used as a meeting room and for making merit.
The second floor is also a magnificent hall. The walls are decorated with pictures of the life of the Lord Buddha, with exquisite Thai patterns.
The 3rd floor houses the statues of the Isan gurus and scholars in the past, carved in marble, and the statues of 101 Supatipanno monks.
The 4th floor is a museum showing the temples, meditation centers, and places where Luang Pu Sri once practiced Dhamma.
The 5th floor has 119 spiral staircases, and is an octagonal bell-shaped hall containing the relics of the Lord Buddha.
