The wooden houses in Fenghuang Town are relatively small, with exquisite and reasonable design, good rainproof, moisture-proof and fireproof performance. Compared with the traditional northern houses, there are many characteristics of southern houses. Walking on the old street of Fenghuang Town, you will clearly feel the difference between the buildings on the old street and the Guanzhong dwellings. From the appearance, it is more like a Huizhou dwelling, with pink walls and green tiles, decorations on both sides of the ridge, lotus or plum blossoms in the center, and animal ridges or dragon heads on both sides. Many houses are three-in and three-open, and the three yards are raised floor by floor. Such a design is more suitable for excess Shaanxi and facilitates drainage. There are many silk pressing workshops in Fenghuang Town, and the silk fabrics here are made of local pressed silk. The old trade of blacksmiths still remains.
