I went to PHO THIN, a very popular pho specialty restaurant in Hanoi 🙆‍♀️ It's a bit of a walk south of Hoan Kiem Lake, but it was really delicious! There's only one type of pho on the menu, so you pay the person at the entrance and go in 👍 There's a lot of meat, and it's really delicious when you eat it with fish sauce and lime squeezed in. Pho is one of Vietnamese cuisine, a noodle soup that originated in northern Vietnam. Pho Thin is a renowned family run restaurant at 13 Lo Duc Street, and has an outlet named Ca Phe Thin located beside the International Convention Centre, a 4 minutes 350 meters walk from Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. It is located at 35 Hung Vuong, Ba Dinh. Instead of boiling the beef, he decided to stir-fried it with garlic, before adding it to the soup. The beef in the bowl is noticeably different, with a lot of green onions added in the bone broth. Extra egg yolk is available upon order.

I went to the main store of Pho Tin, a famous pho restaurant in Hanoi that also has a branch in Japan! It's located south of the Old Quarter, a little away from the tourist spots. There's an older man sitting in front of the store, so I order and pay first before going inside. Shortly after I sat down, the bowl of pho arrived! It was topped with plenty of green onions and coriander. I had actually eaten it in Japan a few days before going to the main store, so I compared the taste. The difference with Japan is the meaty soup. The beef flavor was more strongly blended into the soup at the main store. But other than that, it tasted exactly the same as in Japan!
