I stood in front of the huge dinosaur skeleton and deeply felt the majesty and presence of the dinosaur. These complete skeleton models and real fossils allow me to imagine the scenes of prehistoric times and feel the real existence of dinosaurs. Our trip to KL was a 4 day trip from the 27th to the 31st of December and all entertainment was planned solely for the kids. After some research I was able to shortlist a couple of attractions to take the kids to and the Discovery Centre topped the list. What a fantastic trip it was both my kids 2.5 and 3.5yr olds loved it, enjoyed every minute of it and so did we. We spent about 3hrs in there,opted for walking in as we had to wait for 45min for the ride. The entrance ticket costs about 28MR for adults and 16.5MR for kids. This place is on Level 4 of Petronas Towers. When we arrived there was a school group in front of us and we thought it may make our experience longer than normal. Except for the beginning, it wasn't an issue. Cost when we were there was 28 MYR per person. At the beginning you are taken on a small cart on wheels and they step you through some technology over different areas of Malaysia's history. You are the dropped into the exhibition area. There are 11 exhibits to see. Space, Time Tunnel, Geotime Diorama, Science Station, Sparkz, Oil Platform, Speed, Molecule Nano World, Future Energy and 3D Theatre. There is a Cafe about 1/2 way through which stocks basic snacks and coffee at a reasonable price. After 2 hours we had only done 1/2 of the exhibitions. An excellent place that melds hands-on interactive exhibits/activities with comprehensive science and physics explanations. The entry fee is extremely reasonable for the size of the center, and staff are easily accessible in all areas. ✨ Pleasantly surprised. Did not expect much but the place was well maintained, interactive and had lots of interesting manipulatives. Narrative was detailed without being overly technical. The animatronic dinosaurs were cool and lots of physics and oil and gas displays and toys. 👣 Affordable place to go for a date with your partner or with your family. First time visited this science center. It gives me a very surprise experience that I am proud that Malaysia has this good place for the tourist and the local people to visit. I had family visiting one week and I took my nephews and niece to Petrosains KLCC. I never thought it was something for me as an adult as you see school kids came in groups wirh their teachers all the time. I was wrong! so wrong! I was more excited than the kids, i have never learned pretty much everything science in 1 place. It took us a good 4hrs+ to visit all the exhibits, by far the best educational exhibition i've been. You get to learn about the science behind the soil, animal, electricity, solar system, tornadoes (oh so amazing simulator). everything physics, chemistry, biology, maths and FUN! I love it. Getting There - PETROSAINS is located on level 5 of Suria KLCC at the KL Twin Towers. As it is located in the city centre, it is easily accessible on foot, free bus, bike, and cars. Attractions - amazing discovery centre of all science. it will make you smarter. Hotels - the twin towers is right at the city centre. The National Planetarium had nothing much to see. Almost no lighting, really hurt my eyes. Lots of exhibits not working and "under maintenance". Staff not very interested in being helpful. Disappointed. Looks like PLANET IN THE MUSEUM instead of Planetarium to me.
