Iran Trip
On April 26, 2023 at 11:00 Iran time, the "Expert-led Exploration of the Wonders of the Persian Empire in Iran" team arrived at their first stop, Persepolis, after a two-hour drive from Shiraz this morning. Yu Su introduced that this was the second capital of the Persian Achaemenid dynasty, located in a basin in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. It was built during the reign of Darius the Great (ruled from 522 BC to 486 BC), and its ruins were discovered near Takht-e Jamshid, 52 kilometers northeast of Shiraz. The city is situated to the east of a mountain and is surrounded by walls on the other three sides. The main remains include the audience hall of King Darius and the Hundred Column Palace.

The pink lake of Iran or mars?
Maharloo Lake is located in the highland of Shiraz, Iran. It is dark pink in colour due to the red tides underneath, hence lovingly called the Pink Lake.
It is a seasonal salt lake with the size approx 25000 hectres. Undoubtedly the most amazing and strangest sight I have ever seen and honestly ,it made me nervous.
We took a flight with Paramotor that made it possible for us to the the lake from high above.
Drive or hire a taxi to get there as it is not accessible to public transportation. Get the taxi to wait up whilst you do the touristy stuff and selfies. There is no other activity than taking pictures, walk on salt, paragliding, picnic and a little hike along the lake.
There were flamingos! A lot of them too.
I can't fully describe how i feel about this place, yes it was pretty, 100%..but it was also so very strange. Almost feel like you are in some sci-fi film.
It reminded me of Vormir (avengers, where the soul stone was (found). It is insanely beautiful and scary at the same time.
No restaurants of here just enjoy the beautiful lake, hold some salt and take lots of pictures! This is nature showing off.

Persepolis, Iran
#ancientcities
Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of the Persian Empire, is a stunning archaeological site that offers a glimpse into the grandeur of one of the most powerful empires of the ancient world. The majestic staircases, gateways, and reliefs of the Apadana Palace are incredibly well-preserved, showcasing the artistry of ancient Persian craftsmanship.
Tips:
• Visit in the late afternoon for softer lighting and fewer visitors.
• Combine your trip with a visit to nearby Naqsh-e Rustam, where the tombs of ancient kings are carved into the cliffs.
• Be mindful of the dress code, as Iran has specific regulations for tourists.

Persepolis in Iran
Visiting Persepolis in Iran was an amazing and unique experience 🌟. The ancient ruins of the Persian Empire reflect the grandeur of the historical Persian civilization🏛️. I enjoyed wandering among the massive columns and grand inscriptions that tell the stories of Persian kings and their great history 🌄. The view of the site with its wide horizon and surrounding mountains was captivating and enhanced the exploration experience 🌍. Before visiting the Persian exhibition at the museum, let's learn about the Persian Empire, which predates the Qin dynasty
When it comes to the traces of the rise and fall of ancient Persian civilization, the first thing that comes to mind is undoubtedly Persepolis, a World Heritage Site located about 60 kilometers northeast of Shiraz in Iran. This was once the greatest capital in the history of ancient Persia, and its status is equivalent to that of the Great Wall in China.
Persepolis was once the most magnificent stone palace in the world, but in 330 BC, Alexander the Great conquered the Persian Empire, and now only ruins remain of Persepolis.
At the palace ruins of the Hundred-Column Hall, only stone column bases are left, a scene of desolation and loneliness; the audience hall once had 72 columns that were 20 meters high, and currently, 13 fairly intact Greek-style columns still stand tall. One can imagine how spectacular the audience hall, which could accommodate thousands of people, was. I have seen a restored VCR at the British Museum, and the Persian Empire at that time was indeed too powerful.
Persepolis has a very famous relief of various ethnic groups, depicting a procession of 28 nations under the rule of the Persian Empire bringing tributes, including the Parthians coming with camels, the Arians from the east, the Egyptians bringing textiles and huge cattle, the Armenians offering fine horses and amphorae, the Babylonians holding pottery and robes... Many of these civilizations have long since vanished, but they are clearly recorded on this stone wall.
The fall of Persepolis marked the end of the vast Persian Empire, but the various exquisite stone carvings unearthed from the ruins are still lifelike, making one marvel at the strength of the Persian Empire more than two thousand years ago and the wisdom of the ancient Persians.

Persepolis, beauty in ruins, beauty in awe.
Persepolis was the capital of the ancient Persian Empire, destroyed during Alexander the Great's eastern campaign. For thousands of years, the ruins have stood on the Iranian plateau.
Standing in front of this world cultural heritage site, it is inevitable to evoke a sense of nostalgia.

Iranian ancient civilization ruins - Persepolis
Located in the south of Iran, Persepolis was the capital of ancient Persia in the 6th century BC. After thousands of years, many relics and remains have weathered away with time, leaving behind a thick book without words for future generations to touch and interpret.

Modern day Shiraz is situated 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of the ruins of Persepolis. Persepolis is located about 60 kilometers northeast of Shiraz, the fifth capital city ordered to commemorate the kings of the Achaemenid kingdom after the reign of the Persian Empire Darius I. This prestigious capital city was grand and was built in 522 BC, when Darius I began his rule. It took 60 years before and after, and it was completed after three dynasties. In the era of Darius I, only the palaces of Darius I, the treasure house, the glimpse of the main hall, and the Sangongmen were completed. Most of Persepolis was built during the Xerxes I period. By the time of Artaxerxes I, the great city-state that symbolized the splendid civilization of the Achaemenid Empire was finally completed. From then on it solemnly stood on the Persian plain. Not only is it the heart of the world's most powerful empire, it is also a huge repository of empire wealth. Until more than 130 years later, in 330 BC, Alexander the Great captured this place, and after the mad plunder, the city was ruthlessly burned. Legend has it that "he used 10,000 scorpions and 5,000 camels to transport all the treasures." Then the delicate columns, stigmas and beams made of Lebanese cedar burned, the roof fell, and the ashes and scum fell like they were on the ground. After the fire, only the stone pillars, door frames and sculptures remained intact. Persepolis was destroyed in a fire like this. There is a saying in history that Alexander the Great had ordered the Burning of Persepolis in order to avenge the Persians looting of the Acropolis, but there is no evidence that this destruction is

Persepolis, once a glorious dynasty, now leaves only the remains of the ruins, although most of the buildings are shackled, but from the front door it can still be shocked all the way, whether it is the remains of the pillars, murals, or even the rooms where the roof has disappeared. You can feel a once great city.
Persepolis is the center of the ancient Persian Empire. The various buildings here, such as the huge steps, the exquisite reliefs and the gates of the prestige, were built during the reign of Emperor Darius (521 BC - 486 BC) and lasted 150 years. In 331 BC, Alexander the Great burned the palace to show the demise of the Persian Empire.
This ruin has been buried underground for 2,000 years and has been fully excavated since about 1930. The entire ruins were included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. What I see today is just a ruin. Many buildings have disappeared or broken, and the stay is still spectacular. Due to the dry weather and buried in the ground for many years, beautiful reliefs and steps can be displayed. Recall that from the entrance, first pass the ladder on both sides, the ladder steps are not high, the nobles can walk gracefully. Up to the steps, there is a narrow entrance, with statues of human heads on both sides. Going in is the palace, there are big and thin, it should be the place to meet the envoy. I saw several rounds of stone pillars that were several meters high. They were originally made up of several stone pillars. Most of the buildings in the site have been damaged, but they are still worth seeing. Going to Persepolis In addition to chartered cars, you can reach by yourself and spend less.
雙喜與子琛.
Seeing the boulder in the distance, my heart began to be excited. This is not just a broken palace. It is the epitome of the rise and fall of a grand empire, an incomparable magnificent epic, all this is Persepolis. . From Darius to Xerxes to Attaxesi, the palace was built for 70 years.
Influenced by the culture of the Babylonian capital, Darius also began to think of building a prominent capital for the great Persian Empire and showing the mighty strength of the Empire to all the countries he had conquered.
520 BC, Persepolis began to build, and it began to take shape ten years later. When the general commander inquired about the name of the Darius Palace gate, Darius said that the palace was used to accept the worship of the nations. This door is called the door of the world. When you enter Persepolis, you will pass through the gate of the country. It used to be a hall supported by four stone pillars (there are three left now). 2500 years ago, when the aristocrats and foreign envoys of the Persian Empire came to worship the Persian emperor, they first had to wait in this hall.
The two huge stone carvings on the door, the first eagle wing, this is the symbol of the great god Enlier in the worship of the fire, showing the emperor's Regal
through the "Wan Guomen", came to Persia The most important and most beautiful palace in the ruins of Polis is the Temple of Apadana. According to historical records, the Apadana Hall once accommodated 10,000 national envoys and met with Xerxes I.
This spectacular scene only appeared three times in the cold weapon era, Persia in 500 BC, Rome in 100 AD, and Datang in 600 AD.
JOJO’s wonderful trip.
Persepolis is the capital of the Achaemenid Dynasty of the Persian Empire. 2,500 years ago, the Persian Cyrus founded the Persian Empire centered on Shiraz. Later Darius moved the capital to Persepolis, Persia. Although Polis has been destroyed by Alexander of Macedonia, it still has the tombs and palaces of Cyrus the Great.
Perspolis is about 60 kilometers from Shiraz, also known as Taher Jamhid, the first order of the Persian Empire Darius I, in order to commemorate the kings of the Achaemenid Kingdom. Five capitals. The Greeks called the capital "Persianpolis", meaning "the capital of Persia." The ancient Persian is the kingdom of the gods, and Jamsheed is the name of the king of ancient Persian mythology.
directed at the most representative cultural site of the ancient Persia, I went with great enthusiasm, but the result was extremely disappointing. I want to know that those who have blown Persepolis are all archaeologically born? Do you have to face such a group of stone pillars that are difficult to distinguish the original appearance? How can you say something beautiful and spectacular?
