The beautiful Perhentian Island, a paradise you have never set foot in!
Hey guys~ I recently went to Perhentian Island in Malaysia, and it was breathtakingly beautiful! 😍 I couldn't wait to share this surprise with you when I got back! ✨
📍Location: Perhentian Island, Besut District, Malaysia
🚀Transportation:
From Kuala Lumpur, you can fly to Kota Bharu Airport in Kelantan, then drive to Kuala Besut Jetty, and take a 30-45 minute boat ride to Perhentian Island! 🚢 Remember, it's not a good time to go to sea from October to February due to the monsoon, and the best time to visit is from April to August! ☀️
🏨Accommodation:
There are a variety of accommodations on Perhentian Island, from family-run inns for MYR 20 per night to luxury resorts for MYR 500! 🏡 I personally love Perhentian Island Resort, with its hundreds of meters of fine sand, walking barefoot on it is like walking on a carpet, super comfortable! 👣
🍽️Food:
Most of the restaurants on the island serve Malaysian and Thai cuisine, which is affordable and delicious! 🍲 Especially the restaurant next to Perhentian Island Resort, which only offers buffets, but with a wide variety of dishes, you will definitely be satisfied! 🍴
🏊♂️Snorkeling:
Perhentian Island is a Malaysian National Marine Park, with crystal clear waters and a rich variety of coral reefs and marine life! 🐠 Snorkeling trips are affordable, with short trips costing only MYR 40 per person, including 3 dive sites, where you can see turtles, baby sharks, and more! 🐢
🚶♀️Hiking:
There are many mountain trails on the island, and you will see many large lizards along the way, don't be afraid, they are more afraid of you! 🦎 There are also many beautiful views along the way, which will definitely make your trip worthwhile!
💡Tips:
Be sure to spray mosquito repellent at night, or you'll be questioning your life! 🦟
Bring your own snorkeling gear, wear a jellyfish suit and rubber-soled snorkeling shoes to avoid being scratched by coral! 👟
Bring enough cash, there are no ATMs on the island, and there are very few places to use credit cards! 💰
There is no alcohol on the island except in some restaurants and bars, so if you like to drink, remember to bring it from Kuala Lumpur! 🍻
