Phuket Museum
Most people know Phuket for its beaches, but a visit to Phuket should not be without a trip to Old Town. The Phuket Museum (totally free!) introduces some of Phuket’s Peranakan heritage and history as a tin mining town. The museum is housed in two separate buildings, which use to serve as a bank, and there’s an old clock tower to climb, too. This was definitely worth stopping by to learn some local history and culture.

What's in the yellow building 🕯️ Phuket Museum
🕯️ Phuket Museum Peranakan Nitas
What's in the 🌕 Yellow Building? 🌕
Or one of the landmarks in Phuket Old Town
That many people are familiar with from various media
We often see people taking pictures crossing the road
Which... I didn't take a picture 55555 But I will take everyone to see inside. What's there?
Which if you come here, I would like you to try to come in
Because...
✅ 1 Free admission!! There is cool air conditioning. If you are tired from walking, come here and don't want to leave
✅ 2 Knowledge about the culture and way of life of the people here
Especially in terms of food and desserts
✅ Let me add one more point... 3 There are many ancient desserts to try!!!
We stood in this corner for a long time... Hehe 😋

Anyone who has walked around Phuket town will probably see many beautiful Sino-Portuguese style buildings lined up. But there is a building that stands out with its yellow color in the middle of the intersection on both sides. One side is Peranakan Nithat and the other side is Phuket Nakorn.
Peranakan Nithat is a place to learn about the culture, history and origins of Phuket town, from the Hokkien Chinese who immigrated to Phuket town to the Peranakan era or Baba, which was the era of Sino-Portuguese style buildings.
Because of the distinctiveness of this yellow building, it has become a spot where many people come to take pictures and post on social media. There is even a need to wait in line to take a video of them crossing the street.
Anyone who is a photography or content creator, don't forget to stop by.
