#2024wish I had visited Perak Musuem on the weekend, it was truly an amazing experience. This musuem is the oldest musuem in Malaysia, situated in Jalan Taming Sari, 34000 Taiping, Perak. Perak Musuem is a treasure trove of the history, its highlights the history of the state, featuring historical and archaeological gems with even remains of animals and artefacts. Perak Museum has 4 galleries and outdoor exhibitions: 1. Gallery A - Taxidermy and Archaeological Exhibition Gallery 2. Gallery B - Nature Gallery 3. Gallery C - Cultural Exhibition Gallery 4. Gallery D - Aboriginal and Pottery Gallery 5. Outdoor Exhibition The musuem is open daily from 9am - 5pm, admission fee is RM2 only. The Perak Museum is a public museum located at the junction of Jalan Muzium and Jalan Taming Sari in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. It is the oldest museum in Malaysia and highlights the history of the state. Very cheap entry with many informative display. Spacious, air conditioned and clean. Can spend a good hour (or more) learning. Love the animal display. I didn't expect a high standard for a small town like this. Hope more people will make it a point to visit so they can keep this going. There's some antique cars and boat display outside. There's a small children's playground that seemed decent (apart from the broken swing) No full stars rating because there was a children's corner but nothing was there. And there wasn't any soap in the ladies toilet. The toilet also has be flushed "creatively ". I don't know why this seem to be a common thing with Malaysian spots. The Perak Museum in Taiping is the first and oldest museum in Malaysia. It was founded in 1883 by Sir Hugh Low, the fourth British Resident of Perak (1877 to 1889). I was first visit this Perak Museum, the ticket at that time is RM2.00. There was a lot of different kind of exhibits. There have bride gown of Chinese culture, different kind of traditional things, that really special and attractive to me is the skeletal of animals. Other than that, specimen if birds also very attractive. Old vintage car is also exhibited at the outside. The most amazing is the ancient human remains, this is my very first time to see. It's worth to see all the culture in Malaysia. Worth to pay a visit although the content is more or less similar to other muziums in Malaysia. The special part is the section with all animal skeletons, its great to view animals from different perspective. Entry fee is RM2 per person. Nice artefacts, animals section, with traditional clothes, musical instruments and such.
