The entire park is huge, we spent around half an hour for a round at the park! It is indeed such a relaxing and tranquil spot for a break from the hustling bustling Penang city. The park is filled with lush greeneries and well maintained in the form of walking trail, plants. There are many benches for visitors to rest as well! There are a few spacious areas in the park where visitors can play badminton, have a little picnic. This park is also a great photoshoot area for tourists! The gardens is well maintained and have beautiful heritage trees. It is a much needed green lung in Penang for the public to enjoy. Parking is usually limited especially during the weekends. I love this Botanical Gardens. All natural environment where monkeys and humans co-exist harmoniously. A great location to watch locals exercise and have family time. A wonderful community locations for foreigners to enjoy nature and the best of people. Pretty landscape with hills in the background. It was a good relaxing time in Penang. The jungle has almost swallowed up traces of civilization and made part of what once belonged to man This is probably the most impressive place in Georgetown. There are two ways to get here: rent a jeep at the top of Penang Hill and go down the steep serpentine road, or just take a taxi to the main entrance. Personally, Penang Hill did not seem impressive to me, especially after an hour-long queue for the cable car. I love seeing many form of wildlife as well. Yesterday, I saw lots of monkeys, an adorable family of tiny bats and a sweet, shy monitor lizard. The gift shop is very sweet—filled with handmade crafts made by volunteers. I bought a souvenir there fir my son when he visited and he loved it. You can also pick up a beverage and ice cream there. With a long history from 1884, you'll be able to enjoy a lush greenery and gorgeous landscaping done by the team at the botanical gardens. Many people head over for some aerobics too, you can join the elder folks as they are very friendly! We usually love spending our time here jogging for about an hour and then have our breakfast at the Waterfall Cafe. Nothing beats a delicious roti canai and teh tarik after an exercise session! Be careful not to swing your bag freely or eat out in the open, the monkeys will turn on you and try to steal from you at any chance given!
