Best Things to DoNo.3 of Best Things to Do in Hague
Located on the outskirts of The Hague, the Peace Palace is a landmark building in The Hague and is home to the International Law Library and the International Law School. The Peace Palace was built between 1907 and 1913 to show its importance in settling disputes and maintaining world peace. Some of the gates, decorations and furniture in the Peace Palace were donated by various countries. The outer wall of the Peace Palace is brick red. It is a two-story palace-style building. The front facade consists of 9 arches. The Gothic towers on both sides are particularly conspicuous. The west tower is a taller building nearby, surrounded by green trees. Surrounded by peace and quiet. The vaulted hall on the ground floor is built in marble, decorated with golden reliefs, and the floor pattern is composed of cream and light blue marble. In the center of the main corridor in the middle of the hall is a stone statue of the goddess of justice, which was donated by the United States. Behind the stone statue are seven floor-to-ceiling windows inlaid with stained glass, which are more holy when the sun shines.
