Peace Palace 🇳🇱
#myhiddengems
During my summer vacation, I had the chance to visit the Peace Palace in The Hague, and it was an incredible experience! 🕊️🏛️ The entrance fee for a guided tour was about €15, which felt like a bargain considering the historical and architectural significance of the place.
The Peace Palace is home to the International Court of Justice and is a stunning example of neo-Renaissance architecture. The guided tour provided fascinating insights into its history and the important role it plays in international diplomacy. The grand interiors and impressive library were particularly noteworthy. 📚✨
After the tour, I enjoyed a leisurely walk around the nearby Scheveningen beach, which is only a short drive away. The beach offered a perfect spot to relax and soak in the sun. 🏖️🌅
If you’re interested in international law and history, the Peace Palace is definitely worth a visit. Its blend of beauty and significance makes it a standout attraction in The Hague.

Take a cursory look at The Hague
The first morning in the Netherlands, due to the time difference, I woke up very early. Simply like the locals, I rode out, went to the Peace Palace, the Royal Palace, Hofvijver Lake, the central square and so on. Around 8 o'clock on the weekend, there are few people on the street, quite quiet. The roads in The Hague are not wide, most of them are brick-aided, the street buildings are 3-4 stories high, quite regular.
Overall, The Hague is not stunning, but it is really comfortable.
