When you get off the streetcar at 'Atomic Bomb Dome-mae' from Hiroshima Station, you can see the Atomic Bomb Dome right in front of you. I visited around 8 AM, and there were already many tourists, including foreigners and student groups. It is a must-visit place for Japanese people as well when sightseeing in Hiroshima. The park is very spacious, well-maintained, and includes the Atomic Bomb Dome, Peace Bell, Cenotaph, and a museum within its grounds. (The museum admission is 200 yen for adults) It is also famous for the beautiful cherry blossoms that bloom along the river in spring.

hiroshima is such a amazing place to spend time. Jr west rail from shin Osaka to Hiroshima only takes you less than 2 and half hours. The weather is amazing but sunny. The food here is reasonable and cheaper than in Osaka. After the horrifying event they fight to rise again but they never forget and continue to have hope that this generation will never experience it again. The entrance is free around the castle (climb to the tower 360 yen). Shukkei Garden The Shukkei Garden is a 15-minute walk from Hiroshima Station (entrance fee 250 yen). For economical one, you may choose hotel like Hotel S-plus Hiroshima where you can get cheap breakfast buffet for only ¥500 and all-day free coffee. Many hotels in the area may offer similar services. If you plan to go to Miyajima Island and stay downtown, do ask for 1-day tram ticket purchase at hotel fronts.
