🍺 Paulaner Bräuhaus — A Hearty Midday Escape to Bavaria
We dropped by Paulaner Bräuhaus at Millenia Walk for lunch, and it honestly felt like a mini getaway—hearty German food, crisp in-house brews, and a cozy, beer hall atmosphere that made us forget we were in the middle of Singapore’s city bustle.
Since it was lunch, we kept it just hearty enough. We shared the crispy pork knuckle (because how can you not), and it was everything we hoped for—crackling skin, juicy meat inside, and a nice contrast from the tangy sauerkraut and soft potato dumplings. Definitely a dish to linger over.
We also had a sausage platter that came with a variety of sausages—some spicy, some smoky, all perfectly grilled. Paired with mustard, cabbage, and a sip of beer? Comfort food, German-style.
And yes, we had beer at lunch. I went for their lager, which was light, crisp, and not too heavy—great for daytime drinking. It’s brewed fresh on site, and you can really taste the smooth, clean quality in every sip.
The lunch crowd was relaxed—mostly business folks and tourists—so the vibe was quieter than dinner, which made it perfect for catching up without shouting over the table. Service was quick, friendly, and they didn’t rush us even when it started getting busy.
If you’re looking for a hearty, satisfying lunch that feels just a little different from the usual café or hawker routine, Paulaner Bräuhaus is a great midday escape.
