The hotel has a unique design by JMG, the designer of Aman, with Chinese elements and thousands of artworks, like an art palace. All rooms are equipped with a minibar and other facilities. The sea view rooms have unique window designs, allowing unobstructed sea views. The bathrooms are open, with bathtubs by the window, and the toiletries are from the New York custom brand Le Labo. This is my fourth time staying at Park Hyatt, and I never get tired of it! The only glass sea in the Sanya hotel area, the privacy of exclusive Sun Bay, the fine white sand beach, the unique scenery, and the design by JMG make it a heavyweight among Sanya resorts. Rooms: The "IMAX sea view" is the biggest feature of the room. The tranquility without a balcony is even an advantage. At noon, the sea in Sun Bay is emerald green and clear, with coconut groves dotted around, slowly extending outwards from light blue to dark blue, echoing the mountains and forests behind Yalong Bay in the distance. The scenery is unparalleled, and I would call it the best sea view in Greater China. The room is spacious, with reasonable zoning, a walk-in closet, and a unique bathroom area. The black and red washbasin and walls span the entire bathroom area, connecting the toilet and shower room. The black stone bathtub easily accommodates two people. The room type is very important for the view. There is a huge difference between the sea view/supreme sea view/full sea view. P5-6 is the sea view suite I stayed in before. The area is very large, but the view is very different from the full sea view when looking out the window. So based on my experience, the full sea view on the high floor of Building 5 is the best. Public area: The best time to swim in the super long pool is at night, when the resort atmosphere is at its peak, and the lighting effect is indescribable. JMG's design language is everywhere, and the public area is filled with various artworks, paintings, and sculptures, which is unique in Sanya. The white sand beach and high visibility sea water with some coral fish are much better than Yalong Bay. Dining: The restaurants at Hyatt are all good. The Chinese restaurant is reasonably priced, with stable quality and a unique environment that makes you feel like you are in a Jiangnan courtyard. If you are staying in Sun Bay, there is no need to go out for food. At night, the hotel is the only one between the mountains and the sea, and it looks like a glowing moonlight treasure box from a distance. Rooms There are 205 sea-view rooms, including 26 suites and 17 villas. The upper floors offer unobstructed sea views, and the large 180-degree panoramic windows offer stunning views of the sea. The rooms are at least 62 square meters, and the toiletries and bedding are very comfortable. The villas are very private, with a private garden and pool in the hidden jungle, offering an excellent vacation experience. The selected sea view room I booked is a highly cost-effective recommended room type. I especially recommend Building 5, where the high floors offer a more open view, with a 180-degree sea view. The stunning view of Sunny Bay outside the window is like a painting, and the lack of a balcony allows guests to quietly enjoy the tranquil view of Sunny Bay. However, the last section of the road to the hotel is often crowded with people driving to take photos, and there are illegal parking issues, so be careful. It is also difficult to call a car at night. Although the beach is no longer exclusive to the hotel, the sand is fine and soft, and the sea is a beautiful color. However, I prefer the beach at Raffles Hainan. The hotel's outdoor pool is over 100 meters long and is open until 10 pm. The hotel has only 200 rooms, which are spread out in different buildings, so they are far enough apart that guests are not disturbed. The hotel has thousands of artworks for guests to enjoy. The hotel's restaurants and staff service are excellent, and desserts are provided with the turndown service every night. My personal favorite of the top 3 hotels in Sanya: Capella (3/3) || I have experienced the top 3 hotels in Sanya: Park Hyatt Sunny Bay, Capella Tufu Bay, and The Edition. The last one is Capella. Capella is my personal favorite hotel! It is the first choice for two people to stay in Sanya. The advantage of Capella over Park Hyatt is that the overall architecture and room design style is brighter (Figures 1-4), with more greenery and a more holiday feel, while Park Hyatt is a bit too solemn. Also, the service at Capella is quite efficient, and I encountered some delays when checking in and having breakfast at Park Hyatt. The advantage of Capella over The Edition is that the beach is quite nice (Figures 3, 10). When I went last year, there was a happy hour on the beach every day at sunset, with free drinks and snacks. The atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant, with the sea breeze, drinks, and music. I wonder if they still have it now? In terms of photos, all three hotels are very photogenic, but with different styles. Capella is classic, Park Hyatt is luxurious, and The Edition is stylish. However, if you want to take pictures of the beach and the sea, don't go to The Edition. The only downside of Capella is that it is too far away, not actually in Sanya, but in Tufu Bay, Lingshui. If you have diving and surfing plans, it is very convenient, as there are many water and underwater activity spots in Wanning and Lingshui.
