Covering 20 hectares, Park Guell is divided into two main areas: the Monumental Zone and the free Forest Zone. Gaudi's iconic structures, such as the gingerbread houses, the lizard, and the terrace area, are located in the Monumental Zone, which requires a €10 ticket for entry. The mosaic-tiled wave benches on the terrace may look hard, but they are actually ergonomically designed for comfort. From this vantage point, you can overlook the entire Park Guell and even get a panoramic view of the city, making it an ideal spot for watching the sunrise or sunset. The most famous mascot in Park Guell is the large lizard made of colorful mosaic tiles. To take a photo with it, you have to patiently wait in line! At the main entrance, there are two fairytale-like gingerbread houses, which were originally planned as gatehouses and porters' lodgings. Now, they serve as a museum and gift shop. Park Guell is located on a hill in Barcelona. You can take Metro Line 3 and enter through the main entrance, but the downside is that you have to climb a long uphill path after getting off. Another option is to take Bus 24 and enter through the back entrance, which doesn't require climbing, but the downside is that it's farther from Gaudi's architectural complex, requiring a bit of a walk.

So, I recommend going early in the morning! #citywalk I chose to go Barcelona Spain after a business trip as I wanna visit Camp Nou, the home of FC Barcelona. My ex colleague went along with me on this trip. Not only we visited Camp Nou, we also went to Park Guell, La Sagrada Familia, Barceloneta Beach, Montserrat and many more. Some of the highlights were the spectacular mountains at Montserrat, the beautiful beach at Barceloneta Beach and of course touring the stadium of Barcelona.

Park Güell is a private park located in Barcelona near La said and El Coll neighborhoods. If you are staying in Barceloneta or Barcelona Center, I will suggest you to get the metro L3 and get off and the Lesseps or Vallarta stops, which is 20 mins walking to the Park. Unfortunately, you do have to pay do get in the park. The cost of the ticket is 10 euro and it will cost extra to visit Gaudi house located in the park. I have researched a little bit and I saw that there are some ways to get into the park for FREE, however, since I was there for short time and it was a last minute plan I didn’t have time to sign up for a free entrance! If you’re curious to know how to get there please contact me! Park Guell is a large park outside of Barcelona displaying a wide array of Antoni Gaudi’s work. I never found much appeal when seeing Gaudi’s art pieces and buildings in photographs, but only after seeing the works in their original and intended settings did I understand you must “experience” Gaudi’s works to appreciate them. Park Guell was an inspirational place to walk around and admire the beautiful mosiacs, buildings, and structures. Getting There - Requires walking up a steep hill or alternatively taking the bus. The nearest metros are both a 15 min walk away and the walk is mostly up hill. Description - The park is very beautiful and the views of the city are stunning. It is the most efficient and cheapest way to take in Gaudí architecture in the city of Barcelona. Other Gaudí experiences are quite expensive to enter. This park has many Gaudí designed buildings to explore so it's certainly more value for money than any other attraction in the city. The best times to visit are on sunny days, either in the morning or afternoon when it's a bit cooler since you'll be doing a lot of walking uphill however it's important to note that the area directly around the park isn't the best for getting food/drink afterwards so plan to travel somewhere else once you're done. I would estimate that 2hrs is enough time to see the park, some photo opportunities are more crowded than others so expect to queue for the best shots, especially if there are tour groups at the time you're visiting. #barcelona #gaudi #art #spain

Mine ticket was 4pm but 3:30pm I already went in. 😊 Remember to screenshot your ticket and save in library as the connection there is terrible. You might not always connected to 4G data. Park Güell is a privatized park system composed of gardens and architectural elements located on Carmel Hill, in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. When you visit here, prepare like for a small hike, as this place is up on a steep hill and it's a big garden you need time to explore fully. The garden is big and has many sights to see, it is advisable to come here either in the morning or as out of season as you can, otherwise you can't see much of the sights due to tourists. My local friend suggested that I could spend 2 hours here, so I reserved about 3 hours before heading to another tourist spot where I bought the ticket (they popular tourist attractions there always require advance reservations with specific timeslot) but personally I could easily spend 5 hours there because of the beautifully designed houses and the pleasant walk around it. Gaudi planned and directed the construction of the park from 1900 to 1914 for Eusebi Guell for a residential park intended for sixty single- family residences. The project, however, was unsuccessful and the park became city property in 1923. Though never fully completed, it still remains one of Gaudi’s most colorful and playful works.
