Last time I went to Notting Hill, I tried a Greek restaurant called MAZI, and to my surprise, it was really good. 🍞 Bread with olive oil — always a fail-proof choice! 🥄 Smoked Aubergine The aubergine slices were crispy and paired with tahini and honey. It wasn't too heavy in flavor and also went well with the bread! 🥗 Greek Salad I’ve always liked Greek salad — super refreshing. The cherry tomatoes were sweet but not overwhelming, and the crispy bread crumbs added a nice touch. Delicious! 🦐 Tiger Prawn Risotto The prawn was beautifully cut, with plump, bouncy meat. Old is good, and time has substance - The Gracechurch, London Aging gracefully and developing personality over time Renovating old buildings is like dealing with the elderly, who also want to be "modernized" and "trendy," although certain insurmountable inherent ideas have been formed in the baptism of time, just like the fashion of old buildings in their era. This Grade II listed building was originally built in 1913 as the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in the City of London. Its design adopts a decorative but industrial art style, which is an important part of 19th-century architecture in Europe and the Americas. Working with historical buildings is always a delicate dance between preservation and innovation. For us, preserving key architectural elements is not only a heritage consideration, but also a design opportunity to be eye-catching. The Beaux-Arts structure has a sense of grandeur, which is increasingly rare in contemporary hotel design. We are determined not to let the modern aspects overwhelm the history, so we designed suitable woodwork to complement rather than compete with the original materials. Winding benches and free-standing seats in pink and blue tones. Brushed brass rails with clothing-like translucent curtains wrap the space, cleverly defining areas without intrusive partitions. The concept is influenced by the history of tailoring in the City of London, which predates the area's current reputation as a commercial district. Sisal carpets add texture, while neutral-toned walls are decorated with vibrant prints by pop art pioneer Eduardo Paolozzi.

As soon as you step into Shan Shui Social, you’re immediately immersed in the old Shanghai atmosphere — the music and décor are full of charm, I absolutely loved it. The scallion pancakes were deliciously crispy. They come in a set of three, perfect for sharing with friends during a casual get-together — not too heavy either! The spicy fried chicken was incredibly crispy, and the aroma of the chilies was just amazing. The wonton soup had an especially rich broth, and the wontons themselves were generously filled — one bowl was super satisfying! The roast duck was a massive portion — really hearty. The skin was crispy, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Half a duck is ideal for about four people to share! The salted egg yolk prawns were packed with huge, juicy prawns, all coated in a rich salted egg yolk sauce — absolutely delicious! The drink menu was also a lovely surprise. I had the cucumber mocktail (the last one listed under the mocktails) and it was super refreshing. In a word, it was a day when I lost track of time and fell in love with paintings. The location is right next to Trafalgar Square, so it was very accessible, and most importantly, admission is free! (You can make a donation freely) The most impressive paintings were **Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers'** and Monet's Water Lilies series. When I saw them in person, they were on a different level than when I saw them on the screen... Just standing in front of the paintings made my heart feel warm. The exhibition was well organized, so I was able to view them step by step by period and artist, and the explanations were written in detail, so even people who don't know much about art can enjoy them! The cafe and gift shop were also good It was also fun to buy cute postcards and magnets If you need art and healing for a day, I recommend the National Gallery If you go to London, this is a place you absolutely must include in your itinerary!! Since I have traveled to Europe often and have done so many times, I have already tried enough food from each European country, so I tend to look for Korean restaurants. New Malden, London, UK, is a small Korean town in London with many Korean restaurants and Koreans. I visited New Malden to eat Korean food during my recent trip to London. There are many Korean restaurants in New Malden, but I ate at Genghis Khan, which a Korean friend who lives in London took me to as a good Chinese restaurant. We ordered tangsuyuk, jajangmyeon, and gunmandu, and paid a total of 33 pounds. The staff was also Korean, so it was nice that I could order in Korean comfortably.
