Egypt|When I finally arrived at the pyramids, a pure walking guide
The moment I looked up at the pyramids, I saw frozen time and civilization, felt the insignificance of being a human being, and also felt the greatness of human beings. I must see the pyramids with my own eyes once in my lifetime. ️
There is no camel or carriage ride to the pyramids. You can walk through the pyramids on foot. It takes about 3-4 hours. It is a special and precious experience to walk under the pyramids. It is recommended for friends who have physical strength and like to walk. 👍
📍Stop 1: East Gate (South Gate) of the Scenic Area
It is recommended to enter from the East Gate and go straight to the Sphinx early in the morning. There are few people and it is easy to take pictures
📍Stop 2: Sphinx
There is an open space in front of the Sphinx for taking pictures. From a distance, you can see that there are many people taking pictures. Then go in and take a close-up side view of the Sphinx
📍Stop 3: Khafre Pyramid
The first pyramid you see when you enter is the Khafre Pyramid. The closer you get, the more you can feel what oppressive momentum is
📍Stop 4: Panoramic View of the Nine Towers
A must-go location! You will pass the Menkaure Pyramid on the way. You can already see the top of the hill with dense camels from a distance. Just follow that direction.
The advantage of walking is that you can stop at different locations on the hillside to take pictures at any time. If you ride a camel, it is more inconvenient (of course, the advantage is that you can take a photo of the pyramid while riding a camel)
📍Stop 5: Khufu Pyramid
Finally arrived at the famous Khufu Pyramid, it felt real. . . There are so many people😂It feels like all the tourists in Egypt are gathered here at this moment. It is so crowded and noisy that I just want to leave quickly
📍Stop 6: Leave from the North Gate
Walk downhill from the North Gate to the main road. I waited for a long time to get a taxi, and then went to the Grand Egyptian Museum!
🌟【Tips for visiting the pyramids】🌟:
✅ Arrive early: If you want to visit the pyramids with fewer people and in a quiet environment, you must arrive early! When we finally arrived at the Pyramid of Khufu, there were so many people, and more tour groups arrived one after another
✅Sunscreen: The ultraviolet rays are really strong, so please bring sunglasses, hats, sunscreen jackets and more‼ ️
✅Wear a mask: There will be sandstorms along the way, so it is best to wear a mask
✅SAY NO: You will probably be asked a hundred times if you want to ride a camel or a horse carriage. If you don’t want to, just firmly refuse or ignore it

Egypt's Giza Pyramid Complex: A Timeless Marvel Across Millennia
The Egyptian pyramids are the only surviving wonder of the ancient world's Seven Wonders. The three main pyramids were built by Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, with the Great Pyramid of Khufu being the largest existing pyramid in the world, constructed over 4,600 years ago. Originally serving as tombs for the pharaohs, the pyramids symbolize a staircase to eternal life. Their intricate structures and advanced stone assembly techniques continue to astonish modern-day observers.
Standing before the pyramid complex, one feels a profound sense of humility and awe at the wisdom of ancient civilizations. It's almost as if you can hear the whispers of the Egyptian pharaohs. This ancient sandy landscape offers views of towering pyramids, the enigmatic Sphinx, the bustling cityscape of Cairo, and caravans of horses and camels weaving through—a truly unforgettable legendary scene.
‼️ Significant improvements have been made to the Giza Pyramid area since April 2025:
1. The entrance has been relocated to the Pyramids Visitor Center, featuring a modern building with ample space and an exhibition hall introducing the Giza Pyramids.
2. The park's shuttle bus system has been enhanced, with designated stops at each attraction. This resolves previous issues with private tour guides, taxis, camels, and horses, making it easier for independent travelers to explore the entire area.
3. A fixed price of 500 Egyptian pounds for camel rides has been established, along with tourist police signage. While this provides a basis for negotiating with camel vendors, new tactics and scams have emerged. We'll share our experiences with camel scams in the Giza Pyramid area in the next post—it’s truly exhausting! 😮💨

A marathon held only once a year🐪
The Pyramid Marathon is a marathon held only once a year in Egypt.
You can run around the pyramids and enjoy the view, and since it is held in December, the weather is not too hot.
Even if you are not good at running, there are various courses, so I recommend giving it a try.

Standing majestically outside Cairo, Egypt, the Great Pyramid of Giza is a testament to the ingenuity and ambition of the ancient Egyptians. Built as a tomb for the pharaohs, this monumental structure is a unique wonder of the ancient world, and my visit to this iconic site was an experience filled with awe and respect, deserving of a 5-star review.
Traveling through time: Visiting the Great Pyramid of Giza is like stepping back thousands of years into Egypt’s fascinating history. Along with the enigmatic Sphinx, the pyramids are relics of a civilization that mastered art, astronomy, and science long before the rest of the world. The sense of continuity and connection to the past is palpable as you wander the complex, following in the footsteps of the pharaohs, workers, and later explorers who were fascinated by this wonder.
Cultural Immersion: Beyond the pyramids themselves, the site offers a rich tapestry of Egyptian culture and heritage. Camel rides around the plateau provide a traditional means of viewing the pyramids, and offer a unique perspective on their grandeur. Meanwhile, the nearby Solar Boat Museum displays an ancient cedar boat buried next to the Great Pyramid, providing insight into the religious and ceremonial practices of the ancient Egyptians. Reflection and Inspiration: The Great Pyramid of Giza provokes profound reflections on human capabilities and the enduring desire to leave a legacy.
