Just got back from a lovely trip to Vicenza, and it completely exceeded my expectations! 🏛️ This city is a true architectural gem, thanks to the incredible works of Andrea Palladio. My first stop was the Teatro Olimpico, the oldest indoor theater in the world. The entrance fee was €11, and stepping inside was like going back in time. The illusionistic stage design was simply mind-blowing. 🎭
Strolling around Vicenza, I felt like I was in an open-air museum. The Basilica Palladiana, with its striking white arches, is a must-see (entry €5). From its rooftop terrace, you get an amazing view of the city and the surrounding hills. 🌄 I also visited Villa La Rotonda just outside the city, one of Palladio’s masterpieces. Though the entrance to the grounds is €10, the serene setting and the harmony of the architecture are worth it.
The town is small enough to explore on foot, and every street is packed with beautiful buildings, cozy cafes, and boutiques. 🛍️ Plus, it’s less touristy than other Italian cities, which made it even more enjoyable. Definitely a must-visit for architecture lovers! #trip #Vicenza #Palladio #Italy #Architecture #HiddenGem

Exploring Vicenza, Italy, was a delightful journey into Renaissance charm! 🇮🇹 The city, known for its stunning architecture by Andrea Palladio, is a must-visit. I spent hours admiring the *Basilica Palladiana* and its striking façade, which is free to view from the outside, though entry costs about 8 EUR for a closer look and access to the upper terraces.
The *Teatro Olimpico* was another highlight – the entrance fee of 12 EUR was worth it for the incredible stage design and historical ambiance. Vicenza’s old town is perfect for wandering, with its picturesque piazzas and charming cafés. Don’t miss the *Piazza dei Signori* and the *Santuario di Monte Berico* for panoramic views.
For a day trip, the nearby *Villa Rotonda* is stunning and offers a peek into Palladian architecture. Vicenza blends history and beauty perfectly, making it a memorable stop in Italy! 🌟 #trip #VicenzaItaly #PalladianArchitecture #RenaissanceBeauty #TravelItaly #HistoricCharm
