Cibeles Palace in Madrid: you must visit it
During my recent trip to Madrid, I had the chance to visit the iconic Palacio (palace) de Cibeles, and it was one of the highlights of my stay in the city. Located in the heart of Madrid at the Plaza de Cibeles, this majestic building combines stunning architecture with cultural experiences, offering plenty to see and do.
The building itself is impressive, with its grand white façade and intricate details making it a perfect photo spot from the outside. Inside, I explored the CentroCentro cultural space, which hosts temporary exhibitions on art, photography, and social issues. The exhibitions were diverse and well-curated, providing an engaging look into both contemporary and historical topics.
💞Reasons to Recommend: One of the best things to do inside is to visit the Mirador Madrid, the observation deck located on the 8th floor. From there, the 360-degree view of the city is breathtaking, especially at sunset. It’s a perfect place to get a panoramic look at Madrid’s rooftops and major landmarks.
The building also houses a lovely café and a more formal restaurant. I stopped by the café for a quick break and enjoyed a coffee while admiring the interior design, which blends historical elegance with modern touches.
If you’re planning a visit, I recommend going early to avoid queues for the viewpoint, and to check ahead online for current exhibitions and ticket availability. It’s also a good idea to set aside at least 1–2 hours to fully enjoy the experience.
Overall, the Palacio de Cibeles is much more than a beautiful building—it’s a cultural hub in the middle of the city that offers a mix of history, art, and unforgettable views. #Madrid #localguides #historicallandmarks
