2025 Paignton Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in April)

I decided to check out the new Mercure Hotel in Paignton and it definitely didn’t disappoint. This 4star sleek hotel across from Paignton Green is a few minutes walk from the beach and Paignton Pier, and a six minute walk from Paignton Train Station. The polished rooms at the Mercure provide TVs , WiFi and safes , as well as en-suite bathrooms with rainfall showers and tea and coffee making facilities, also air conditioning and minibar in all rooms. I had a king room with a huge double bed and a courtyard view , although some rooms feature sofabeds and sea views . Dining options include a chic international restaurant, and a contemporary bar with a terrace facing the bay. There is also a gym and onsite parking which is available for a fee , also a great buffet breakfast is available which was fantastic with both hot English Breakfast items and also the more continental style offerings , cold meats and cheeses , pastries and cereals, hot drinks and Juices. Other hotel facilities include a 24hr front desk and room service , baggage storage and concierge and lifts to all floors. This is a lovely modern hotel with friendly staff , great food and atmosphere and comfortable rooms if your looking for a more luxurious stay while in Torbay , I would definitely recommend and go back again I had a 2night stay and had a very relaxing time 👍🏼

This is one of my favourite places in South Devon, with something for everyone. There is a cliff you can walk down to the beach that gives you stunning views across Brixham and some of Paignton, these cliffs are also beautifully lit at night. You also have youngs Park, where you'll find a lake, nature reserve, play park, crazy golf and all that kind of stuff. There is a pub, a hotel and coffee outlets, next to that you have a waterpark called Quay West, they are currently adding a new bit to the water park to cater for the younger kids which should be open in summer 2024

#2024wish Just had an incredible day at Paignton Zoo Environmental Park! 🐾🌿 Nestled in the scenic seaside town of Paignton, Devon, this zoo is a true gem for wildlife enthusiasts. 🇬🇧 The entrance fee was around £20, which may seem a bit pricey, but trust me, it's worth every penny for the amazing experience. 🎟️💷 The zoo is home to a diverse range of animals from around the world, housed in spacious and naturalistic enclosures. 🦁🐼🦒 Walking through the park, you'll encounter everything from majestic big cats to playful primates and colorful birds. 🌍🐦 What sets Paignton Zoo apart is its commitment to conservation and education. 🌱📚 The zoo actively participates in breeding programs for endangered species, helping to safeguard their future. 🦏🐆 Plus, there are informative talks and feeding sessions throughout the day, providing insights into the animals' behaviors and habitats. 🗣️🥕 One of the highlights for me was the opportunity to get up close with some of the animals during the interactive experiences. 🐾👀 And the zoo's beautiful setting, overlooking Torbay, adds to the overall charm of the visit. 🏞️ After exploring the zoo, be sure to check out nearby attractions like the stunning Paignton Beach, the historic Paignton Pier, or take a scenic steam train ride on the Dartmouth Steam Railway. 🚂🏖️ And don't forget to indulge in some traditional Devonshire cream tea to complete your day! 🍰☕️ #PaigntonZoo #WildlifeAdventure #DevonEscape

Torquay is a very very small town in the south Devon , in England, we do have a beautiful sea, sandy beaches (dog beaches too!) and tasty local food . The weather is the best, neither cold or hot, and not that rainy. perfect for spend one day or two, by staying in a cozy hotel and taste the delicious seafood from brixham #beachlife
