Cathedral Island is an earlier developed piece of land in Poznan, an unpretentious and quiet area. Cathedral Island is also a place where many bishops, priests and believers gather. There are quite a few churches. The more famous churches include St. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Notre Dame Church, and the Cathedral. They are not far apart and can be visited on foot.

Poznan: Enjoy life at a slower pace!
Poznan is an important city in Poland. It is not only a transportation hub, but also a leading city in education, literature, and history. It was even once the capital of Poland. However, I didn't know any of this before I decided to visit. I just thought it sounded like a quiet place.
It turns out that the city is indeed very quiet. Especially Cathedral Island (photos 5, 6, and 7), where you can walk around and enjoy the scenery without seeing many people. It's as if the place has never been discovered by the world.
When strolling through Poznan Old Town (photos 1, 2, and 3), you'll see buildings in soft fruit colors. It's the most naturally colorful old town I've ever seen, with a mysterious beauty and an incomprehensible depth. The colors have been destroyed by countless wars, but they have become even more dazzling after each reconstruction!
The graffiti is also impressive, sometimes rough and sometimes romantic. If you suddenly see a building with a comic-style mural on the street, don't doubt your eyes. Yes, it is a real house (photo 8). Artists paint on the original structure of the house, and from a distance, you can't tell if the people standing in front of the building are real or not.
I highly recommend visiting this low-key Polish city to experience the peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle.

Autumn Serenity: A Stroll Through Poznań's Historic Ostrów Tumski
#europetrip #travel #poland #poznan
On a beautiful, sunny autumn morning, we had the perfect opportunity to explore Ostrów Tumski in Poznań. The crisp air and golden sunshine made it an ideal day for a leisurely walk through this historic island, one of the oldest parts of the city. As we strolled along the peaceful streets, the vibrant fall colors of the trees created a stunning backdrop against the impressive architecture of the Poznań Cathedral and the Church of the Most Holy Virgin Mary. The blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles, coupled with the cobblestone paths and ancient landmarks, made the area feel timeless. The grandeur of the cathedral and the serene beauty of the church added to the charm of this place, where history, architecture, and nature beautifully merged in the heart of Poznań.
