Oslo Opera House 🗺️
#citydaytours
During my summer vacation in Oslo, I visited the Oslo Opera House, and it was an unforgettable experience! 🎭🏛️ Located right on the harbor, this architectural marvel is known for its striking modern design and stunning views. The best part? You can walk on the roof for panoramic city views—definitely a highlight of the trip! 🌆
The entrance to the building itself is free, but if you want to catch a performance, tickets vary based on the show and seating. I managed to catch a matinee, and the quality of the performance was exceptional. 🎶 The Opera House is also close to attractions like the Aker Brygge waterfront and the Nobel Peace Center, making it easy to explore the area.
If you’re in Oslo, don’t miss the chance to see this iconic building and perhaps enjoy a world-class performance. It’s a must-visit for architecture and culture enthusiasts alike!

The home of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, this unique building is situated in central Oslo. It was opened in 2008.
The lobby is surrounded by glass panels that allows natural sunlight to enter, and the roof is supported by thin angle columns that will not interfere the views.

The Fusion of Art and Modern Architecture in Oslo, Norway
Oslo is the capital of Norway, but honestly, it's one of the few cities I wouldn't recommend staying in for too long. The real fun in Norway isn't in the capital, but in the surrounding beautiful natural landscapes. However, since it's the capital, it's still worth a visit.
The most famous building is undoubtedly the Oslo Opera House. On a sunny day, it looks like an elegant iceberg, showcasing the unique charm of Scandinavia.
Next is the nearby Akershus Fortress, completed in 1340. It was primarily used to defend Oslo and also served as a prison.
If you're interested in saunas, there are many sauna shops near the Opera House. When you're thoroughly steamed inside, jumping into the 7 or 8-degree sea can be quite exhilarating. (Cardiovascular patients, please be cautious.)

Oslo Travel Guide can help one is one!📸
Norway's 🇳🇴 capital, Oslo, is really very beautiful! 😍 In this city, you can fully experience Norwegian culture, history, food, and natural scenery. ✨ Below is a detailed Oslo travel guide I have carefully prepared for you, quickly collect it! 💼
📍Munch Museum
A must-visit for Munch enthusiasts, he is simply the father of emojis! Each painting is like an emoji 🥸! The most famous work here is 'The Scream', there are three versions. Only one version is displayed at a time, and it is randomly changed on the hour. If you want to see all three, you have to go to the Scream Hall first, and then go and see it on the hour, there are many prints on display, fewer oil paintings, see if you can open the hidden blind box! 👩🎨
⏳: 10:00-16:00
📍Oslo Opera House
Next to the Munch Museum, the architectural style is like a ship 🛳. The path to the roof looks like a slope, but it is actually all steps, watch your feet! 💕 The design is very modern, walking on the roof of the theater, 360° enjoy the blue sea and blue sky, and the cyberpunk-style city architecture, cool 🌊
⏳: Monday-Friday 10:00-20:00; Saturday 11:00-18:00; Sunday 12:00-18:00
📍Akershus Castle
This is a very large and well-preserved castle 🏰 in Oslo and even Norway, a brick and stone structure building, from this castle you can almost overlook the entire Oslo city center! At dusk 🌇, very beautiful!
⏳: 7:00-21:00
📍Vigeland Sculpture Park
One of the most diverse sculpture parks in Oslo, from classical to modern, from abstract to concrete, all have! 😍 Various statues are scattered throughout the park, while admiring the statues, you can also enjoy the natural scenery of the park, sunbathing ☀️ is also good.
📍Oslo City Hall
The overall is a brick-red building, the shape is like several matchboxes 📦 put together, its big clock plays world famous songs every hour, it is also open to the public occasionally!
⏳: 9:00-16:00

Anky in Europe
It was an unforgettable trip in Europe from May to early July 2023. Since we booked one-way business class flight at affordable price from Bangkok to Frankfurt ( Thai Airways only US$1.2K) and one way business class flight from Oslo to Bangkok (Swiss Airline only US$1.2k) with trip.com, we were able to explore different countries with lower flight costs than usual round trip tickets.
We also rented an Avis car through Trip.com, for which there was no hidden cost from what has been paid at booking. The car was quite new with only 1006km. It’s a hybrid Audi A1 with very economical consumption. The time for pickup and drop off the car is very short and easy.
It’s very convenient to rent a car during holiday so that we don’t waste our time for public transport. We can also travel at night and enjoy countryside sightseeing.

A Steep Way Up! Opera center, Oslo
If you're a fan of the arts and or simply enjoy nice architecture, a visit to the Opera Center in Oslo is an absolute must.
Visited the Opera Center right smack in Summer where the sun was quite unforgiving. 🤪 While there’s a lot of visitors who managed the ascent up the slope, you can simply choose to have an aperitif alongside the cafes situated opposite. 😎
Bring your sunnies and don’t forget your sunblock. 🥵#norway #oslo #oslooperahouse

When it comes to Norwegian architecture, it must be mentioned that Oslo's new opera house, which was built five years ago and designed by Norwegian construction company Snohetta, is located on the shore of the region, close to the stock exchange and central station. It is the largest cultural building in Norway after the construction of the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim in the early 14th century.
From the outside of the theatre, the most striking feature is the white sloping stone roof that rises from the Oslo Fjord. Visitors can take a stroll on the roof and enjoy the city views of Oslo. Take a boat trip to the fjord and watch the theater from the fjord. You will see the solar panels on the front of the building. In fact, this is the largest building in Norway that relies on solar power to meet energy needs. The
Opera is located on the shores of the Bjrvika area of Oslo, close to the central station. It is built like a boat and faces the small fjord of Oslo. It is home to large Norwegian operas and other cultural events. The building itself is a work of art, made of marble and glass, with a simple, modern and grandeur.
Come to the Opera House, you can walk along the top slope to the roof view platform of the Opera House, enjoy the beauty of Oslo, even skate on the roof, picnic, or quietly The sun is also excellent.
I have been described by Richard Morrison of Time magazine: I am in love. She is Norwegian, gorgeous and extremely interesting, with surprising content. She is the Oslo Opera House, pulled up from the fjord, and the stunning marble and granite roofs make her look like a glacier.
The Opera House sometimes has free open-air concerts, not only sitting on the platform while enjoying the sea view, but also enjoying the music. In the evening, you can also climb the roof of the Opera House to see the night view of Oslo.
Tips: Theater Hall opening hours: Monday to Friday 10-21 pm; Saturday 11-21 pm; Sunday 12-21 pm
