The Oslo Cathedral was built in 1697 and consists of a chapel and a tower. The interior decoration was not completed until around 1720, and was renovated in the 19th and 20th centuries. The Oslo Cathedral, which is now presented to the world, has no complicated carvings and decorations, but is simple and atmospheric. The Dutch-style red brick walls add a bit of warmth to the perennially cold Norway. The bronze door of the church cast in 1938 was designed and completed by the Norwegian sculptor Dagfin Werenskiold. The carving depicts the scene of Jesus preaching and preaching. It is surrounded by flowers and birds and beasts. It is a valuable cultural relic and should not be missed. The stained glass in the church was carefully designed by Emmanuel Vigeland, the younger brother of the sculptor Gustave Vigeland. It is beautiful and worth savoring. In addition, the large pipe organ in the church is composed of 6,000 log pipes, and the sound is ethereal and holy when played. There is also a row of Basarhallene antique shops, gift shops, cafes and restaurants built between 1841 and 1858 next to the church. After visiting Oslo Cathedral, you may wish to take a good stroll.

Oslo Cathedral (Oslo domkirke)
Half-day trip to Oslo, the weather was super lucky on this day. Wandering around the city center leisurely. Oslo Cathedral (Oslo domkirke) is a church located in Oslo, the capital of Norway. It is also the main church of the Oslo Diocese of the Church of Norway. It is also the venue for royal weddings and coronations. It is open to visitors from 10 am to 4 pm every day. Open all night Friday. Photography is allowed inside the church, but the use of flash is prohibited. No tickets are required for entry. A very beautiful church. The Dutch Baroque-style Oslo Cathedral is located in the city center. To the east is the altar in front of the church, the bell tower with a copper dome, and a Renaissance-style spire. In addition, the church's bronze doors are of Neo-Gothic design and date back to the 19th century. The tower is equipped with the oldest church bell in Norway, which is still in normal operation today. Inside is a large painted ceiling mural painted by Norwegian artist Hugo Los Mohr. Colorful murals and drawings represent Christ from the beginning of his ministry to his final redemption. The beautiful organ is located in the attic above the church entrance and has a painted apostolic frame. The current body of the organ was built in 1997 for the church's 300th anniversary. It's really beautiful inside and worth visiting. When we visited, there was music playing in the church from time to time, and it was very atmospheric to listen to it live. Moreover, the indoor murals can really make people admire it for a long time, and the sound of the organ really makes people immersed in the church. I really love the architecture of European churches, both exterior and interior are so beautiful.

This is a typical Nordic style Gothic Lutheran church
It was established in the 17th century AD
But compared to other Nordic churches
The interior decoration of this room looks a bit more gorgeous
What’s interesting is that we didn’t open until 4pm on Friday.
Other days are 10-16
So I went around the city and returned to visit and appreciate it.

Free Visit: Oslo Cathedral - A Simple Baroque Architecture
Oslo Cathedral is a church in Oslo, the capital of Norway, and one of the city's landmarks. The architectural style of the church is Baroque. This church is free to enter and you can take photos, but flash photography is not allowed. Personally, I find this church quite simple. Compared to other large cathedrals, it doesn't have as many intricate decorations and artworks. If you're passing through Oslo, it's worth a visit.
