#100waysoftravel My 7-day winter adventure began with a long flight from Surabaya to Osaka, with a quick layover in Hong Kong. On Day 2, I visited Osaka Castle, where the winter air and the last remnants of brown leaves created a picturesque atmosphere—perfect for photos. I also indulged in Osaka's famous dollar cake and takoyaki. Day 3 was pure magic at Osaka Universal Studios, where the Harry Potter area's butterbeer was a highlight, and though the queues were long, the Quick Pass made things much smoother. On Day 4, I went shopping at Dior in Shinsaibashi, followed by a visit to the famous Glico Man sign at night. We then shopped at Don Quijote (Don Don Donki), a must-visit for quirky finds. Day 5 took me to Kyoto, where I enjoyed a unique matcha ice cream before visiting the serene Kinkaku-ji Temple. The reflection of the golden temple in the crystal-clear lake was stunning. I also explored the iconic red gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine, capturing many Instagram-worthy shots, before ending the day with delicious cold soba. Day 6 was spent in Nara, where playful deer roamed freely. Feeding them was fun but a bit tricky as they eagerly approached at the sight of food. Warming up with sushi and hotpot was perfect for the chilly weather. It’s a great spot to capture the castle from a distance with fewer people in the frame. The bridge gives a nice perspective of the castle’s impressive structure. 2. **Staircase Shots**: Once you cross the bridge and start heading up the staircases along the castle’s walls, you'll find some fantastic angles. The elevated view from these stairs lets you frame the castle beautifully while avoiding the busy entrance area. 3. **Pond and Garden**: For a unique shot, check out the pond and garden at the back of the castle’s front area (on the right side). Stand far back and use your zoom to capture the castle with you in front of it and greenery as well with no people on it. This way, the castle looks grander and you’ll have a serene background. These spots will help you get stunning photos of Osaka Castle with a bit of creativity and fewer people around. Step into Osaka, located in the central-western part of Japan, in the heart of the Kinki region. Although it is the smallest prefecture in Japan by area, its population and population density are second only to the capital, Tokyo, making it the second largest in the nation. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with the western part facing the bow-shaped Osaka Bay. Due to its proximity to Japan's ancient capitals, Kyoto and Nara, it rapidly developed and prospered as a crucial hub for water and land transportation and as a commercial city. In the city of Osaka, there is Osaka Castle, centered around a 5-story castle tower, with a lawn park of about 60,000 square meters. During the cherry blossom season in spring, the park is thronged with visitors admiring the blossoms, creating an endless stream of people. In Umeda, the northern gateway of Osaka, there are many large underground shopping streets, lined with eateries, boutiques selling trendy goods, and miscellaneous shops. The area centered around Umeda is known as 'Kita'; the area centered around Namba and Dotonbori is known as 'Minami'. Namba is a bustling district with a common touch, while Dotonbori is an area along the Dotonbori River lined with eateries. Minami is a famous entertainment district, home to many theaters and cinemas. Best Season: March to August is the best time to travel to Osaka, with pleasant weather and a variety of gatherings and festivals taking place, making it the time when you can experience the most characteristic activities.

#2024wish Osaka Castle Park and Castle are beautiful areas, a large range of vegetation and paths leading to the various areas of the park. The trees are well-pruned with many interesting species of plants. The castle’s architecture is exquisite, with a great amount of detail. On the inside there are many exhibits informing visitors of the history of the castle and other aspects of the area. I highly recommend going to the top floor first, which has an amazing view over the park and city, and working your way down to the bottom, which is a lot easier than going upwards. I effortlessly spent hours wandering around the sprawling gardens and buildings in the park and castle area. I wish to go back here in 2024

#wheretogo We visited one of the most iconic historical building in Osaka, the Osaka castle. It was very grand and beautiful up close, we are able to touch the powerful and strong stone walls that built up the place. We visited in the early morning and it was packed with locals and tourists entering the castle area and explore the area, there is a huge wooden bridge that we walked on into the castle grounds. We walked around the castle surroundings and enjoy the gorgeous sight of it. There are many people queuing up to enter to the castle top where they can see the whole 360 view outside the castle grounds, the ticket cost around 600 yen. There are also a few small shrine temples and a mall to wander explore, but the site we love the most is the pond nearby where we can take a nice photo together with the castle at the back. We also walked around the park just right around the castle, with many tall trees and flora to enjoy the nature. We were able to feel the windy breeze inside the place and feels so calm. After our visit in the place, we saw a local bakery that sells delicious bread and coffees, it’s called Kobeya Fresh Bakery in Morinomiya JR Station, it’s only a 5 minute walk from Osaka castle. Many locals were seen enjoying the pastry there and we tried some of their speciality too, we recommend the melon pan and cream bun, it was really good! A perfect spot to rest after a long walk in the castle.

#timetotravel #travelOsaka #traveljapan The magnificent Osaka castle standing tall amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.Having only two days in Osaka last summer,the only place I couldn’t miss to see is the Osaka castle and i was lucky enough it was just at a walking distance from the lively hotel which i staying for the night.Such a sight to see as you pass the high rise buildings into the gates of the surrounding area around the castle,although it takes a bit of walking to get to the main castle,the entire area is just breathtaking and the sight of the main castle just makes the trip worth it.would definitely recommend for those planning to visit Osaka and would definitely go see it again if i’m ever in the area again.

Osaka castle is one of the beautiful architectural buildings which built with the stone wall of 90 meters width. So now this Castle becomes a the famous landmark with elegant ancient Japanese architecture. It is surrounded with beautiful Japan gardens, and stunning view of the pond which is really relaxing and peaceful place to escape the hustle and bustle of city. The admission fee is 600 Yen. The opening hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm Address- 1-1 Osakajo, Chou ward, Osaka, Japan.

Osaka Castle is surrounded by the castle tower, the gates, impressive stone walls and huge moats. Currently it serves as a museum. I highly recommend to visit the museum to understand more about Japan’s culture. Do buy tickets in advance and the ticket booth had long lines when we visited. If you have time, you can also ride the boat touring around the moat. This is a must-visit attraction in Osaka. #wheretogo

What comes to mind first when you mention Osaka? As an anime fan, I certainly think of Conan first! It's really a sense of accomplishment to take pictures of the same location! 1️⃣ Tenshu Gate (P1-P4) One of the most famous attractions in Osaka and a popular photo spot in Conan. The castle tower is one of the representatives of Japanese castle architecture. Be sure to take a photo of Hattori Heiji in the same style! 2️⃣ Dotonbori (P5) Exaggerated billboards are signs and gourmet paradise where you can eat authentic Japanese delicacies such as okonomiyaki, octopus komachi, ramen, and sushi. There are also many duty-free shops, which is super easy to walk around! 3️⃣Tongtian Pavilion (P6) One of Osaka’s iconic attractions, climbing the observation deck overlooks Osaka. The commercial street sign at the bottom of Tong Tien Gate is beautiful. You can also take a picture of the Conan theatrical version of the same scene. 4️⃣ Shinsaibashi (P7) Located in the heart of Osaka, surrounded by second-hand shops. There are so many drugstores that bring together 80% of Japanese beauty brands. A girl’s paradise! 5️⃣ Namba Fukuoka Shrine (P8) One of the famous shrines in Osaka, I heard it can attract wealth, ward off disasters and pray for good fortune! Conan fans can pay a visit while taking pictures! 6️⃣ Osaka Metropolitan Police Station (P9) Although it can't be called an attraction, you can take a picture if you pass by, and there is a police museum next to it, which is quite interesting. There are many places such as Umeda Building Suzuki Museum of Art.

It was one of the highlights of my trip to Osaka, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves history, culture, and architecture. The Osaka Castle is a symbol of the city's resilience and glory. It was built in the 16th century by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the most influential warlords in Japanese history. He unified Japan under his rule and dreamed of building a magnificent castle that would showcase his power and wealth. The castle is surrounded by a moat and a stone wall, and it stands on a hill that offers a panoramic view of the city. The main tower has eight floors, each with different exhibits and displays that tell the story of the castle and its historical figures. You can see weapons, armors, paintings, documents, models, and more. There is also an observation deck on the top floor, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Osaka. One of the most impressive features of the castle is its golden ornaments. You can see golden dolphins, tigers, cranes, and phoenixes on the roof and walls of the tower. I had a wonderful time visiting the Osaka Castle. It was an amazing opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Japan, and to admire the beauty and craftsmanship of the castle.
