Some 800 species of Malaysian orchids meet you at the Kuala Lumpur Orchid Garden. The garden was established in 1986 and occupies a hectare of gardens surrounding a central pergola. The orchids wow visitors with their wild variety of colors, shapes, sizes and fragrances, and those inspired can take some home, purchased from the orchid bazaar that springs up here on the weekends.

The Orchid Garden is located opposite the KL Bird Park within the scenic KL Lake Gardens. Coming to this spot, it just take approximately 10 minutes drive from the hectic city centre!!!
Not a person who knows flowers very well so i am not able to differentiate the types and the species. However, pictures speak thousand words, plenties of orchids’s here and it has purple, white and mix colours making it a beautiful garden to explore with.
Highly recommend to visit in the evening as you will need to do hiking a little bit from the parking lot or the weather is crazily hot.

We have been wanting to visit Taman Botanica for long time as we usually pass by this place before and after work, this is just at the middle of the highway.
This place is free of charge, no need to pay for parking nor entrance fee, can pay a visit anytime you want!
However, need to be early as there are many locals visit this place somewhat around 5-6pm, some are here for exercise, some are for picnic and some for walk around.

Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | Successfully avoided the crowds and got some great photos.
The park is filled with flowers and shaded by trees, making it feel like a fairyland. Butterflies dance among the flowers, like elves sent by nature, lively and playful. The lake in the distance sparkles, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds, making people feel relaxed and happy.
Attraction itinerary guide:
Morning: After arriving at the park, first go to the Orchid Park to enjoy more than 800 kinds of orchids
Noon: Enjoy your own food at the picnic spot in the park,
Afternoon: Go to the Butterfly Park
You can then go to the hill where the planetarium is located to learn about astronomy
Tips:
Remember to bring mosquito repellent, the mosquitoes here are very powerful! It is recommended to wear long pants or a long skirt, and take protective measures. The park is large, so it is best to wear comfortable shoes for long walks. If you want to learn more about the park, you can download the electronic tour guide app or join the official tour group in advance.

Orchid & Hibiscus Gardens

Great escape from the chaos of KL. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful with many colorful plants and trees. Great place to relax, read and meditate in the shade. Free during the weekdays, however, there's an admission charge on weekends and holidays.
The orchid garden was okay although it could be better. The hibiscus garden is run down and poorly maintained. Not many hibiscus can be seen.
