Bali 9 Days 8 Nights Itinerary Recommendations and Suggestions
🗺️Destination introduction
📍Itinerary
I am a tourist from Hong Kong, China. This is my first time traveling to Bali. I don’t have much travel experience, having been to mainland China, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and Japan. The following is my wife and I’s itinerary and suggestions. I hope it can help friends in need! This time I came to Bali and stayed in three villas, in the following order:
1) 3 nights in Desamuda Village, Seminyak (4.7/5);
2) 3 nights at Mahayoga Villa in Ubud (4.7/5);
3) 2 nights at Villa Selina in Canggu (3.5/5);
The ratings are my personal feelings after staying at the villa. Each villa has its own advantages and disadvantages. You can search for the above villas to see my evaluation of the villa!
Because I always chose hotels when traveling in the past, I chose villas for all the trips this time. I suggest that you read more reviews when choosing. Most of the high ratings with few reviews are not true. I hope you can find a place that suits you!

👉Day 9:
🧭Itinerary:
After breakfast, I packed my luggage and checked out at around 12:00, and headed to OneeightyDayClub (4 hours of fun). I left at around 18:00 to go to Jasmine Aromatic House for a massage (5 minutes’ drive from the airport), and went to the airport to return to Hong Kong at 22:30 (flight at 1am)!
✈️Transportation: Klook chartered car with Chinese driver for pick-up!
Before departure, I booked a Chinese driver to pick me up at the airport on Kkday, because Klook did not have (Chinese driver pick-up), my English is not very good, and my wife does not speak English at all. As a result, I received a WhatsApp notification after getting off the plane that no Chinese driver could be arranged (the price of Chinese drivers and English drivers is 1 times different). As a result, half of the money was refunded. Fortunately, I can speak some English, but I feel very unhappy! So all subsequent itineraries and projects were booked at Klook!
Bali is very big, and each attraction is far away, so it takes a lot of time to drive (each attraction takes an average of 1 hour or more). I booked most of the projects on Klook (I have comments on each project I have visited, you can refer to it), and try to get up early as much as possible. There are a lot of tourists at all the attractions. My wife and I are middle-aged (40-50 years old), and we don’t usually exercise, so we need more time to rest. My wife doesn’t speak English, so I try to choose projects with Chinese drivers. We are quite satisfied with the whole trip. We saw many beautiful natural attractions and played a lot of activities. Young people may find it more fun. We are also grateful that the weather was very good for this trip and it didn’t rain for a single day!
Suggested items to bring and suggestions:
Filter shower head, mosquito repellent, sunscreen and skin care products, eye mask, toothpaste, toothbrush and conditioner, disposable bath towel (may be used in hotel villa, water activities and waterfalls), creek shoes (for waterfalls, rafting), waterproof cell phone cases (very expensive at tourist attractions), slippers (to be worn throughout the trip, haha), at least two pairs of swimming trunks for men and at least two sets of sexy swimsuits and three or four long skirts for taking photos for women!
Local chartered car tours are really convenient and cheap, and it will be even cheaper if you use an English-speaking driver! This is highly recommended! !
WhatsApp is the main communication tool for local tourists; Gojek is only in English (they developed it locally and it is also the most widely used local), and Grab has a simplified Chinese version (locals say that Grab is a little more expensive than Gojek). The two apps have similar uses and both can be paid in cash, so there is no need to worry about recharging!
I exchanged Indonesian rupiah in advance before going there. I didn’t want to waste time looking for an exchange shop. I can’t provide any advice in this regard!
Try to drink less drinks with ice cubes, be careful of acclimatization! !
I think it's worth going to:
Tanah Lot Temple, Suluban Beach (the water is very clear and beautiful, be careful to go down the stairs slowly), Ubud Tegenungan Waterfall (Omma Day Club) admission 300K/1 person (actually it is the food and beverage fee on the venue, the remaining amount is non-refundable), water rafting (Ayung River) and ATV off-road motorcycle (you can try it, but I don’t think it’s exciting enough), watching dolphins (just keep a normal mind, even if you see them, they may be far away), Water Temple (lots of flowers, very suitable for ladies to take pictures in long skirts), Kuta Waterboom (it’s a big place, there are many delicious foods inside, and there are many places to rest when you are tired), BenoaBay water activities (there are many different companies in the whole bay, visit several, you must bargain, remember to bring sunscreen), Oneeighty Day Club (600K/1 person, 500K is for food and beverage consumption; it is more cost-effective for four to six people to go and you can buy VIP sofa seats)!
Not recommended: Lover's Cliff (it took us less than 15 minutes to get out from there) there are too many tourists and monkeys snatching things (my wife was scared when she saw it); if you really want to go, be careful of any personal belongings on your body, glasses, mobile phones, hats, etc.! "Solution": Go to the supermarket and buy individually wrapped small cakes before going. After the monkeys snatch the things, throw the small cakes to them (throw them, don't throw them at them violently), then they will let go of the things they snatched! Special attention for those with children! !
I hope the above personal opinions can help you! I wish you all a pleasant journey! !
