2025 Winston Salem Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in March)

Old Salem is a popular historical site located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The historical town is comprised of a museum, several shops, a garden and Saint Phillips Moravian Church. It costs $20 for a ticket that includes access to all the open building. They offer a student discount with valid ID ($12) We visited in early autumn and the town was beautifully decorated for fall. They had pumpkins out everywhere and the leaves were just beginning to change. The church was a very sobering place to visit. They discovered many slave graves under the church that have since been marked with a simple “adult” or “child”. It is truly heartbreaking.
