The people here are warm and honest, the city's pace is slow and leisurely, and the rainfall is the lowest in the country, earning it the nickname "Sunny Kingdom"! Peaches and grapes are its specialties. 🔷🔷🔷My one-day Okayama tour guide: 🚗Transportation: There are direct flights from Shanghai to Okayama, or you can take the Shinkansen from Osaka to Okayama Station (40 minutes). 🏨Accommodation: VIA INN Okayama - JR West Group, 2 minutes from Okayama Station. 🗺️My one-day Okayama itinerary: ⏰Morning - Ujo Park - Okayama Castle (9:00-17:30) 🕐Afternoon - Okayama Korakuen (8:00-18:00) 🔔🔔Take the city tram, the two attractions are 5 minutes apart. It takes about 3-4 hours to visit the two attractions.

Then go to the station to exchange, very convenient!) Okayama, one of my favourite city in Japan and I always try to reach out while I am in Japan.Okayama is located in west Japan and largest city in its prefecture and home to the imposing, black Okayama Castle and Okayama Korakuen, one of Japan's three greatest landscape gardens.Beautiful landscapes, famous castle and famous for all its fruits . After I left Fukuoka, I took Shinkansen ( Sakura 551- one of JR train ) up to Okayama. Keep my luggage in one of coin locker and get a bus No 18 from just outside of train station . Get down at Korakuen main gate , get a ticket for Okayama Cultural Zone ticket , it cost me 520¥ and start explore Okayama Prefecture museum and continue to Korakuen Garden ( famous for coin fish pond and beautiful landscape) and get out by South Gate and continue to Okayama Castle. Then walk out to nearest 🚋 station and back to Okayama train station, have my lunch , took my luggage from coin locker and continue my journey to Hiroshima. Here are some of the main ones: History and Culture - Okayama Castle: Also known as Crow Castle, it was originally built in 1597 and rebuilt in 1966 after being destroyed in World War II. Its black walls make it unique. The museum inside the castle displays the history of Okayama Castle and important archaeological finds. You can overlook the entire city of Okayama from the top of the castle. - Saijo Inari: One of Japan's three great Inari shrines, it is a rare syncretic Shinto-Buddhist temple. We visited Okayama, the hometown of Momotaro, during our transfer from Takamatsu to Himeji Castle. It takes about 30 minutes to walk from JR Okayama Station to Okayama Castle. In early December, the streets of Okayama are lined with ginkgo trees with yellow leaves and maple trees with red leaves. Okayama Castle is a castle with a rich history located in Kita Ward, Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. The keep of Okayama Castle is covered with black wooden boards, earning it the nickname "Crow Castle" or "Golden Crow Castle." The keep is a five-story, six-level building and is one of Japan's oldest castles. 🏯 From a distance, the keep of Okayama Castle looks like a single building, but on its west side, there is a yagura called Shiozō. A yagura directly attached to the keep without a corridor is called a complex keep. This architectural style gives the keep of Okayama Castle a sense of stability.
