Landed in Nagoya Airport at 10am and rushes to take subway, train and bus to shirakawago (After 10 am the next bus schedule to shirakawago from nagoya st is 3 pm). Later, I dipped my feet in the crystal-clear **Sho River**, watching dragonflies dart over the water. As dusk fell, fireflies appeared near the irrigation canals, their soft glow mirroring the warm lights inside the farmhouses. Unlike winter’s tourist crowds, summer here felt serene, alive with the rustle of wind through rice stalks and the occasional chime of wind bells. I thought that Gassho Village was already full of spring in April, but I didn’t expect that the roofs of the village were still covered with thick white snow, as if I had walked into a secret place in a winter fairy tale. Take a slow walk along the trail, step on the snow, and every step is like leaving your own story in the snow world. ❄️There is still snow on the roofs of the Gassho-zukuri houses, and some of the houses have snow walls and snowmen piled up in front of them, making people unable to help but press the shutter several times! There was a shuttle bus, but since the weather was nice, I decided to walk up! My legs were tired from the majority of the climb 😂The trailhead on the other side was paved with a gentle slope and was easy to walk on. There were a lot of people at this trailhead. The sign said it was a 12-minute walk, but if you walk quickly, you can get there in 6 minutes! 💞Reason for recommending it: It was an observation deck with a great view overlooking the village, so be sure to visit! !
