[Tokyo/Ogasawara Islands] Snack tour of Chichijima 🍭
We went on a cafe and sweets tour of Chichijima in the Ogasawara Islands (^^)
USK COFFEE (photos 1-4)
We rented an electric bicycle to get there! We definitely recommend going by car or bus lol
We had coffee made with coffee beans grown in Ogasawara, and they also sell cookies made with nuts from the island ^_^
I guess their concept is gourds ^_^ There were lots of gourds and chickens ~
They had drinks other than Ogasawara coffee, but the Ogasawara coffee was a sour coffee ~
Mandala COFFEE (5.6)
This cafe was a little far from the downtown area, but we walked there.
Most of the customers seemed to be islanders ^_^
The store was full, and there was seating outside, but unfortunately it was raining 😢
However, a customer from the island was kind enough to give up his seat 😭
It was a cafe where I was able to experience the kindness of the islanders.
Ame no Hi Shokudo (7.8)
This place is usually open on days when ships are coming in and out.
There is a calendar of business days posted in front, so make sure to check it out!
I visited here to eat the milk mochi that was recommended to me by someone who joined the tour ^_^
It's in front of the port, so it's easy to go even when you don't have much time ✨
Heart Rock Cafe (9)
A restaurant famous for its shark burgers 🍔
I enjoyed a banana tart on the terrace ^_^
They also have diving and a souvenir shop on site.

[Tokyo - Ogasawara Islands] Take a one-way boat to a tropical island in Japan for 24 hours!
The shortest ferry ride from Takeshiba takes you to the Ogasawara Islands in 24 hours!
This is an island where you can encounter scenery that is a little foreign, but where the people and buildings have a warmth of Japan.^_^
[Points]
- It is recommended to stay at a private lodging in the Ogasawara Islands!
- There are many tours, and some places you can only enter if you are accompanied by a tour, so you should carefully consider and join a tour!
- I especially recommend the starry sky seen from the weather station. The number of stars was the highest I have ever seen, and I was moved to see something so beautiful in my life.^_^
[Access]
One ferry ride from Tokyo Port! Only 24 hours.^_^
[Caution]
You can only go if you can take 6 days off!
The ferry does not sail every day, and you can only go back and forth on set dates.

[Tokyo] Beautiful white sand beach "Kopepe Beach"
▽Kopepe Beach
Kopepe Beach is located in the middle of Chichijima Island in the Ogasawara Islands. You can see a spectacular view of the dreamy white sand beach, blue sea and blue sky. (Some parts are black due to the pumice.)
It is also a bay and is calm, so I think it is the perfect place for snorkeling and SUP. This may be the most recommended beach!
▽Recommended points
Not many people!
If you go by bus, it is a little far, so there are not many tourists. If you are lucky, you can have the beautiful scenery all to yourself, as if it were a private beach 🌊
▽Access
About 30 minutes walk from the end of the community bus "Kominato Beach"

[Tokyo] The unexplored sea of Buta Beach in the Ogasawara Islands
▽Pig Beach
You can reach "Pig Beach" by walking, walking, climbing, and descending the promenade.
It's not a photogenic beach, but it's a calm beach, perfect for leisurely watching the ocean. Since you have to walk to get there, there are really few people.
▽Caution
It's quite a bit of walking! There's a lot of climbing and descending, so I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothes!
▽Access
It's about a 45-minute walk from the entrance to the promenade at Kominato Beach.

[Tokyo] The beautiful beach of Ogasawara, "Kominato Beach"
▽Kominato Beach
Kominato Beach has been talked about as the place where you can see the most beautiful starry sky in Japan. It's beautiful even during the day. The pure white beach is very pretty.
Because it's far from the port, there are not many people, so you can enjoy the sea at your leisure.
There is also a place with a roof, tables, and chairs right next to the beach, so it might be fun to bring a lunch box and eat there.
The sea during the day, the sunset in the evening, and the starry sky at night.
You can stay all day and enjoy it, so please go!
▽Access
It's about a 3-minute walk from Kominato Beach, the last stop of the community bus that departs from the port.

Ogasawara Islands | Japan's Galapagos, the World Heritage Island of Chichijima
Chichijima Island in the Ogasawara Islands is located about 1,000 km south of Tokyo, a 24-hour ferry ride away.
Surrounded by a rich natural environment and beautiful seas, this island is also registered as a World Heritage Site.
The island has a rich ecosystem and is home to many rare plants and animals.
Ogasawara deer, Ogasawara flying foxes, Japanese wood pigeons, Maimai (snails), and more.
The island's culture and history are also interesting, with its own unique traditions and customs.
It was also the front line of World War II, and remnants of this time can be found all over the island.
It is no exaggeration to say that the entire island itself is a tourist destination, so you can enjoy the sea, mountains, sunrises, sunsets, stargazing, and more all day long!
If possible, wear the island wardrobe, gyosan (sandals)♡

Ogasawara Islands | Finally set foot on the Minami Islands, a treasure trove of untouched nature!
Since I came to the Ogasawara Islands, I wanted to go to Minamijima!
So I went on a tour to Minamijima and go whale watching.
Minamijima in the Ogasawara Islands is uninhabited, so it is rich in nature and has an untouched environment.
There was a time when entry to the island was restricted for nature conservation and development, but it seems that this has been abolished from 2023.
Previously, there was a limited time and the number of people who could land per day was also set, so the hurdle has been lowered a little.
Minamijima is known especially as a habitat for marine life, birds, and plants, and endangered species can also be seen.
Pre-permission is required to visit, and basically joining a tour is the mainstream.
Because I was listening to the guide's explanations, I was able to find plants and creatures that I would have missed on my own.
It's strange that snails are a bit creepy when you see them normally, but when you see them in Ogasawara, it's so moving! lol
On the way back, we went whale watching.
I thought it was just luck, but my desperate search was worth it and I was able to see a beautiful breaching from a very close distance!
I'm so touched~♡

Ogasawara Islands | Cycling around the island to try the rare Ogasawara coffee 🚲
When I came to Ogasawara, I really wanted to try Ogasawara coffee.
Miyakojima, Ishigakijima, and the Ogasawara Islands are in the coffee belt in Japan.
Of course, it's not so common that you can easily get it on Chichijima.
It's quite rare!
We went to USK Coffee, which is located on the opposite side of the city from the center of Chichijima.
I was thinking of renting a scooter, but the rental shop advised me not to, so I changed to a bicycle instead.
As the island is a remote island, the medical facilities are of course not perfect.
If someone who is not used to riding a scooter gets into an accident, injuries that would not be life-threatening can become fatal.
I thought that this is something that only remote islands can experience.
In the end, by switching to cycling, I was able to see some spectacular views and spots that I would have missed on the scooter, so it all worked out in the end.
But I'm getting off topic...
USK Coffee grows coffee trees next to them, and when I was talking to them, they offered to show me!
It was my first time seeing coffee flowers and wearing them! I was so touched!
Chickens are raised in free cages on the premises, and this kind of lifestyle is so nice♡
The coffee is of course incredibly delicious, but the cookies are just so good.
I bought a lot of them as souvenirs to take home.
I hope you'll try them!

Take a day trip from Chichijima to Hahajima, one of the Ogasawara Islands, a World Heritage Site.
It's a 2.5 hour ferry ride away.
If you're lucky, you might even see a whale from the ferry!
Hahajima is more laid-back than Chichijima.
It's also popular with divers.
You can enjoy it even more if you stay overnight, but it's an island that you can enjoy even on a day trip.
▫︎ Shizuzawa Forest Promenade
A promenade through a subtropical forest. You'll walk along a promenade through the jungle, so sneakers and insect repellent are a must. There are still traces of the war here and there, which made me think about a lot of things.
▫︎ 88 Cafe
A stylish cafe by the sea. There are few restaurants on Hahajima, so this is a great place to have lunch. The terrace seats on the second floor are nice and breezy.
▫︎ Wakihama Nagisa Park
Right next to 88 Cafe. It's also a spawning ground for sea turtles. There are also shallow waters where small sharks gather, making it a natural aquarium.
▫︎ Roth Memorial Museum
A memorial museum where you can learn about the history of Hahajima. They also hold workshops and classes.
▫︎ Kokensakiyama
I was recommended to go there because it was easy, but it turned out to be a serious climb on the way there lol. But the view from the top was really amazing, and it was worth going just for that.
▫︎ JA Ogasawara Island Hahajima Branch
A souvenir shop where you can buy products from Hahajima. Depending on the season, you can buy passion fruit from Hahajima. Hahajima passion fruit is really delicious, so if you come across it, be sure to buy it♡

Ogasawara Islands | A Place to Interact with Adorable Sea Turtles
If you're asked about the top recommendation in the Ogasawara Islands (Chichijima), this is the place to introduce.
At the Ogasawara Marine Center, you can learn about and interact with sea turtles.
The Ogasawara Islands are a habitat for sea turtles, and many come to lay their eggs here every year.
Generally, on Chichijima, they let nature take its course, but they also raise and release lost or endangered eggs.
There are panels that carefully explain issues related to sea turtles (like microplastics and garbage problems), providing an opportunity for each person to think about what they can do.
It's not just a distant problem...
In the outdoor pool, palm-sized baby turtles swim energetically, and you can feed the larger ones.
You can take commemorative photos with your favorite turtle, release baby turtles, and even polish their shells.
And all of this is reasonably priced!
It's a spot where you'll fall even more in love with sea turtles, so definitely check it out! ♡

Tokyo | 24-hour boat trip to the Ogasawara Islands~🚢
The only way to get to the World Heritage Site, the Ogasawara Islands, is by ferry.
It's a 24-hour voyage.
It's surprising that it takes 24 hours and is still in Tokyo!
The Ogasawara Maru has a variety of rooms, from economy-style Japanese-style rooms (where everyone sleeps together) to private rooms.
I took a cheap, capsule-type, second-class berth.
Privacy is guaranteed, so it's comfortable!
The ferry is also well-equipped with shower rooms, restaurants, shops, and cafes.
I tried the apple pie served at the cafe, which is a local specialty, and it was delicious♡
I'm worried about seasickness...it's a good idea to bring some medicine as it rocks quite a bit once you're out in the open sea.
Once you pass the Chiba coast, you won't have any signal, so it's a forced digital detox! lol
Honestly, it's a long journey, but because it's such a long voyage, the excitement when you see Chichijima is just...
And there's one more thing that moves me.
When the return boat departs, all the boats on the island run alongside each other to see us off, and they shout, "Take care!" It's a moment when I think I want to come back again.

Chichijima Best island in Japan.
What is your favorite island in Japan?
For me, it is Chichijima.
It takes 24 hours by boat from Hamamatsucho.
The island that I arrived at on the once a week flight was heaven.
Because there is no airport, because it is far away, because there are few boats, because there are few people, it is protected for various reasons, and the beautiful sea is still there. My beloved dolphins are there.
A week on Chichijima is a happy time to dive into the sea, look at the stars, swim with dolphins, and live with nature.
If you have time, please stretch your legs. The best island in Japan is there.

Nanqi Coast😎Tranquil and remote
Stepping onto the vast sandy beach of Nanqi Coast is like stepping into a magnificent painting of nature. The fine white sand under your feet sparkles with golden light under the sunlight, and ripples are created when the sea breeze blows past, just like the unique life texture of this beach.
We walked slowly along the intertidal zone. The waves occasionally lapped the shore, and pools of water gathered at our feet. From time to time, a few colorful shells or driftwood emerged in the rippling water, adding a touch of colorful vitality to this tranquil nature. On the distant skyline, a few wisps of dust and clouds are glowing with a hazy red halo against the backdrop of the setting sun, giving the entire seascape a dreamy and mysterious atmosphere.
Just stroll along this vast coastline and feel the endless rhythm and charm of nature. Occasionally, gusts of sea breeze blow by, lifting up the fine sand around you, making you slow down your pace, empty your mind, and immerse yourself in this peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Being here, your deep yearning and love for nature are magnified bit by bit, as if you have become one with this vast natural scenery, gaining a new understanding of the simplicity and authenticity of life.

「Ishijiro Coast: Enjoy the natural beauty and the vast sandy beach」
Stepping onto the vast sandy beach of Ishijiro Coast is like walking into a freehand painting of nature. The fine white sand under your feet leaves clear traces on the soles of your feet, telling the simplicity and desolation of this coast. The distant horizon is glittering with the afterglow of the sun, coating the entire sea surface with a hazy golden edge, which is extremely dreamy and mysterious.
We took a step forward and walked slowly along the intertidal zone. The waves sometimes meandered in, splashing the pools of water under our feet into layers of ripples, among which the occasional brilliant light of a few colorful shells could be faintly seen. Walking on this beach, it seems that even the rhythm of breathing is gradually slowing down. All the hustle and bustle are left far away in the embrace of this tranquil nature, leaving only a pure enjoyment and yearning for nature in the heart.
Occasionally, when the tide comes in, the waves will roll up and submerge our ankles, allowing us to feel the surging vitality of nature. We strolled along this vast and empty beach, enjoying the embrace of the lush natural beauty, fully appreciating the most primitive and simple life experience bestowed by nature, and letting our souls be reborn and sublimated in this unrestrained atmosphere.

Nanqi Coast! Feel the vastness of the sea and sky
#Tokyo Attractions
Walking along the Nanqi coast, you will see the wide open beach space and the design of the waves hitting the shore, which exudes a sense of elegance.
Enjoy walking on the beach among the waves, feeling the salty and fresh sea air with every step.
While strolling along the beach, you can feel the vastness of the sea and the sky, and feel broad-minded and open-minded.
The experience brought by Nanqi Coast is like being between the sea and the sky.
Looking back on the time when I was walking along the seashore, I always feel that life requires broadening one's horizons and revisiting the journey through the ups and downs of life.

Ogasawara Islands (Chichijima)
In Ogasawara, you can see nature and creatures you've never seen before. Whales and other endemic species, and even invasive species. It's a long 24-hour boat ride, but it's a great place. How about snorkeling in the ocean in the summer? Passion fruit is delicious. #summertrip
