About 500 years ago, the Li'an Li family moved to Waiyanli Folk Village, and settled down from then on, forming a single-surname village, which has lived to this day. The stone-paved roads are lined with tiled or thatched houses of 86 households. Walking on this full-fledged stone path is like reading an ancient book about the history of the village. Persimmon trees, apricot trees, chestnut trees, ginkgo trees, etc. are planted in the courtyards along the road. In addition, in addition to the patron saint at the entrance of the village, there are also many concentrated folk-style shovels, rollers, water slats, grass roofs, etc. The solid trees and stone walls also give people a strong sense of tradition. The winding village roads are surrounded by stone walls as high as a person's chest or head, and it feels as warm as returning to a country lane. The more famous houses in the folk village are the houses called "Lingyan County Chief's House" and "Li Shenjuan House". There is no one living in the house of the county magistrate Lingyan, but the lush old trees and strange-shaped stones make the courtyard quiet and beautiful. In the house of the Magistrate of Yeogan, which has been designated as an important folklore material, the ancestral folk wine, lotus leaf wine, is still brewed and sold. This wine is made by fermenting glutinous rice with lotus root and pine leaves. It used to be a tribute to the imperial palace, but it is now designated as an intangible cultural heritage. The taste is similar to Japanese sake. Waiyanli Folk Village is like a living museum, full of antiquity. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to visit the whole village.
