Fukukura, the Warmth of Owls, is Hamamatsu's first cafe where you can interact with owls. It's located at the very back of Warmth Forest, and is one of the most popular spots in the forest! Location: Nukumori no Mori Address: 2949 Wajicho, Nishi-ku, Hamamatsu-shi, Shizuoka 431-1115 Not far from Tateyamadera Onsen on Lake Hamana, known as a tourist destination and hot spring resort, you pass through a residential area and suddenly find yourself in a small forest with a medieval-style building reminiscent of the world of Ghibli. This is Nukumori no Mori. It is run by a company called Nukumori Kobo, which was created by architect Shigeyoshi Sasaki. In the forest, there is a general store like a stylish select shop, a restaurant selling sweets and light meals, and an owl cafe. The main building, the Galleria, was originally Sasaki's home and was renovated, and when you visit, you will see a 15-minute video that explains his upbringing and the history of Nukumori no Mori. Like the dessert shop "Okashi no Mori," the small and exquisite decorations inside make you feel like you've arrived at a candy house in an old European town. All kinds of exquisite desserts are displayed in the window, making your mouth water just looking at them. The restaurant "douceur" is the heart and soul of this place. The meticulous layout and retro decoration perfectly showcase the style of the European Middle Ages. But be aware, the restaurant requires reservations, so those who want to taste the delicious food should remember to book in advance on the official website. There's also the handmade jewelry shop "cozy" hidden in the woods, a bit like a scene from the story of Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. You can find many unique handmade accessories here, perfect as souvenirs or gifts for friends. In addition, there are small art galleries, general stores, handmade gift shops, an owl cafe, a handmade leather shop, and more, each worth exploring slowly. By the way, there are super cute owls in the owl cafe that you can interact with, it's so much fun! 📸Picture-Perfect Spots This place is perfect for taking photos! Find any corner, with the fairytale-like buildings as a backdrop, and the photos you take will look like they were taken in a fairytale world. Whether standing in front of the colorful houses or sitting on a bench in the garden, you can take beautiful photos that will light up your social media. And coming in different seasons, you can capture different feelings. Flowers bloom in spring, trees are lush in summer, maple leaves fall in autumn, and in winter, you might even see the fairytale town covered in white snow. 🚗Transportation and Tickets Transportation is relatively convenient. If you're at Hamamatsu Station, you can take a direct bus, which takes about half an hour to arrive. If you're driving, remember to keep an eye out for parking lots along the road, as parking spaces can sometimes be tight. Tickets are also very cheap, only 300 yen, which is about 18 yuan, to enter this dream world.

A cheesecake shop in the forest located in the warm forest. You can enjoy cute cheesecakes served in jars. The flavors are regular cheesecake, rich cheese, strawberry, mandarin orange, and more. I had the rich cheesecake! Warmth Forest in Hamamatsu. A small village with a medieval European motif. It's a wonderful space that makes you feel like you're in a fairy tale world. It also had a bit of a Ghibli feel, like Howl's Castle! There are lots of cute buildings lined up, and it's really photogenic. A general store near the entrance to Warmth Forest. On the second floor, there was a store selling stylish and cute Polish goods. When it comes to Polish goods, blue and white are the main colors. These are beautiful ceramics that are handmade by artisans one by one 🤍 Everything was so cute that I just kept taking pictures 📸 On the first floor, there is a general store with a different atmosphere, selling accessories and dried flowers. The exterior is a stylish building that looks like it could be found in the English countryside, and it was very photogenic! I've always wanted to visit "Warmth Forest" 🌳🍃 It has a cute atmosphere like a real Ghibli movie, and there are many shops where you can take photos that look great no matter where you go! It seems to have become a popular spot for tours, and I had heard that it gets really crowded, but it was relatively empty and I was able to take my time looking around. If you like owls and small animals, I recommend the adjacent "Fukumori". I visited Warmth Forest on a trip to Hamamatsu 🍄✨ Every corner here is made up of buildings with this kind of atmosphere, and it felt like I was in a fairy tale world! Everywhere is a photo spot, so I rarely had to line up to take photos. You can enter most of the buildings, which include general stores and cafes, so it was cute to see that not only the exterior but also the atmosphere inside was unified ❤️ You can also get there by bus, so it's also recommended for traveling without a driver's license 🚌
