Walk along the old railway line from Goathland in the North York moors, down along through the ancient woods to Beck Hole village and visit the traditional pub and sweet shop selling old fashioned sweets. On sunny days, paddle in the stream. Before walking back to Goathland, keep an eye out for toads (everywhere!) and walk back along the river to Malayan Spout waterfall and hotel of the same name.
