Located in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, the Nomura family is a samurai residence with a profound historical heritage. It was once the residence of Nomura Denbei Nobumasa, an important official of the Maeda family, and was also a gathering place for middle and upper-class samurai at the time. When you enter the Nomura family, you can see T-shaped or L-shaped alleys, the thresholds and earthen doors of samurai houses, as well as wooden roofs and loess-colored earthen walls, all of which retain traces of 400 years of history. The courtyard is equipped with a stream, waterfalls, granite bridges, and a 400-year-old laurel tree, which is quiet and beautiful. You can enjoy matcha in the teahouse upstairs while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the courtyard and feel the unique charm of traditional Japanese gardens. In addition, the Nomura family also exhibits some samurai swords and armor, making people feel as if they were in that tense historical period. This is not only a good place to learn about Japanese samurai culture, but also a beautiful spot to experience the harmonious coexistence of history and nature.
