Spring Unveiled: Nokonoshima Island Park Wonders
As spring tiptoed in, I found myself venturing through Nokonoshima Island Park, a serene enclave nestled within Fukuoka's Hakata Bay. This emerald jewel of tranquility offered the perfect escape from the everyday hustle and bustle.
The park was a palette of new life, bursting into a kaleidoscope of colors as tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths began their seasonal dance. Each bloom seemed to whisper the secrets of spring, their vibrant hues painting the island with a vivacious energy that filled the air with a sense of rebirth.
From the park's highest vantage point, I was graced with a breathtaking panorama of Fukuoka city and the surrounding sea. This viewpoint offered a unique perspective, showing the city stretching and stirring from its winter hibernation. Nokonoshima Island Park, with its splendid display of spring, truly is an island of enchantment.

Hopping Haven: Rabbit Feeding Joy at Nokonoshima
During my unforgettable trip to Nokonoshima Island Park, one delightful encounter stood out - feeding the adorable rabbits that freely roam the park. As I ventured through the lush pathways, I quickly realized that these furry little residents were a charming highlight of the island's natural allure.
Armed with rabbit food, I was instantly surrounded by a fluffle of eager bunnies. Their curiosity and friendliness were infectious, and I found myself laughing with joy at their playful antics. Each piece of food I offered was met with excited hopping and twitching noses, making every moment a delightful spectacle.
This simple act of feeding the rabbits at Nokonoshima Island Park provided an enriching connection with nature, reminding me of the mutual respect and care we share with our animal friends. As I left the island, the memory of those furry faces and the joy they brought lingered, making the visit an experience that warmed my heart and soul.

Where the flowers and sea meet
#japan #fukuoka
This is Nokonoshima Island Park situated in Kyushu, Fukuoka. You can take a 45 minutes bus ride from Hakata train station to Noko Tosenba bus stop which is the Meinohama Ferry terminal. It will be a 10 minute Ferry ride to Nokonoshima. Once you reach the island, turn left where you can take a bus up to the Island Park. There is an entrance fee of 1200 yen. I know it sounds make a hassle to travel, but the view is totally worth it, especially when you visit during Sakura season. You can even have a picnic there to enjoy this spectacular view.

Went on a ferry (short duration) to reach the island. Then, took the bus to this park. Beautiful landscape but would be better if it was sunny.
Need to pay for entrance fee of the park.

Fukuoka's Back Garden - Finally saw the rapeseed flower fields.
Nokonoshima Island offers a variety of flower fields throughout the year... The park also has a small zoo area, making it a great place for families to relax!
I had been there before but couldn't see anything, so I was very lucky this time to be able to see both cherry blossoms and rapeseed flowers, which made me so happy!
Although the rapeseed flowers were at the end of their blooming season, the weather was great that day, with blue skies and white clouds, it was really beautiful 🥰
There is a ferry every 60 minutes, so it's recommended to start your trip early to avoid the crowds!
Admission fee: Adults 1200 yen (high school students and above)
Children 600 yen (elementary and middle school students) Toddlers 400 yen (over 3 years old)
Operating hours: Monday to Saturday 9:00~17:30
Sunday and holidays 9:00~18:30

Nokonoshima Island Park
#fukuokatrip We decided to visit this island in the hope of seeing the blooming of the cosmos whuch happens each year- we were not disappointed.
The views are amazing and the park is very easy to get to by bus. The busses are practically waiting for you when you arrive by ferry. (All of which runs hourly)
There are a few restaurants (it is worth taking a brochure which you find at the entrance to the park) to help you navigate where you want to go.
Overall a very nice day and worth it.

The park entrance fee cost 1,200¥.
Even the beginning of the spring, but many of the flowers are already blooms. The park is divided into 3 parts. You could find different kinds(group) of the flowers 💐 in different colours. For the kids, there are some playgrounds to keep the kids busy. There are camping areas if you intend to stay over a night. Few restaurants are available for lunch & early dinner.
Point to note. When you take the ferry over to the island, you should quickly get to the bus stop for the bus, as the bus only operates when the ferry arrives (there is no fix scheduled for bus travel time).
