📍Iyo Fuji Frost Festival This majestic mountain is symbolized by the name "Fuji." Although the summit is not wide, you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of Mt. Ishizuchi, the Seto Inland Sea, and the Akaishi mountain range. While many of the local Fujis throughout Japan are independent peaks and are named after Mt. Fuji because of their resemblance to the mountain, Iyo Fuji is just one peak in the Ishizuchi mountain range, but it has a gentle slope on the west side and can resemble Mt. Fuji depending on the direction you look at it. The scenery covered in frost on this day was so mystical. It was hard to climb and come back, but we were able to see a spectacular view that made it worth the effort. I don't recommend it for those who are not used to climbing mountains, but it was a spectacular view that can only be seen on special days during the winter. #0 yen tripFebruary 2025

📍Kochi Prefecture Niyodo River Carp Streamers A seasonal sight in early summer, colorful carp streamers made of nonwoven fabric swaying down the Niyodo River. The view from the Niyodo River Bridge, which passes just above the venue, is spectacular. The event, which began in 1995, has been gaining in popularity every year, and in 2000 it won the "4th Hometown Event Grand Prize Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award." The carp streamers are made of special paper that does not tear even when wet, and about 280 of them, large and small, ranging from 1.5 to 15 meters in length, are fixed in the river with stones. Nikobuchi is located deep in the mountains of Kochi Prefecture! This is a view that can be seen by going to the top of the mountain and then descending! The stairs are steep, but there are proper steps, so you can go there safely! It is a pool in the Edakawa River, a tributary of the Niyodo River, and has been selected as a hidden blue spot (number 29) of the 88 Scenic Views of Shikoku! Niyodo River, which flows through the center of Kochi Prefecture, is a clear stream that has been selected by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as the "river with the best water quality" eight times in the past ten years. The beautiful color of the water has led locals to call it "Niyodo Blue." It is located a little deep in the mountains, which could be called a hidden area, but its popularity is increasing year by year. It is best to visit by car, as it is located between Nikobuchi and "Ino Town." If you are worried about driving, we recommend a taxi. It is about 70 minutes from Kochi city and about 50 minutes from Ino Station. Rather than using the meter, we recommend reserving a private hourly plan with a taxi company in advance.
