Winter tour of Xinfeng Weiwu, nine buildings and eighteen wells
Xinfeng·Shaoguan Nine buildings and eighteen wells
Yunjishan has always been wandering outside the top ten of Conghua, although not far apart, it has always been abandoned. The mountain has always been there, this climb should be the last visit in 2023
The brief cold wave has passed, and the sun is shining on the 105 National Road. A few plum blossoms have opened sporadically, and the banana forest is a scene of devastation. I haven't been here for many years, and the city of Xinfeng County has also changed its appearance
The high temperature of 24 degrees forced me to wear short sleeves, looking at the Wild Goose Pagoda on the old Wushan Mountain and stepping back
The nine buildings and eighteen wells in Matou Town are the first time I have come. This Hakka Weiwu with a history of more than 300 years is the first in terms of scale in Xinfeng County. Although it is a bit old, the so-called nine buildings are horizontal and vertical. Three buildings are the so-called nine buildings. Each of the three buildings has six skylights, which are the eighteen wells. The main building is hung with the plaques of the three generations and six products, so being an official is a necessary pursuit of a clan. The old house in reality is surrounded by new buildings built by later generations, and the Huang clan still proudly tells the story of their ancestors.
The 460-year-old Chongyang tree in Xiutian Village is struggling to survive. Baoyuantang is still glorious despite its damage. The slogans of the Cultural Revolution have invaded every corner. The engraved plaques stubbornly retain the beauty of the text, and the carved porches are full of exotic styles.
The ancient house downstairs has become a red education base, the door of the Hakka Weiwu is locked, and it seems to have become a chicken farm through the door gap. The old Diaolou has almost collapsed, and the leaves of the taro are bursting. It's okay not to go to Huanggong Temple
The most praised salty goose under Yunjishan is still a waste tooth, and the old lady who played the wooden abacus sold me a pot of old wine
🛖Location: Xingchangwei, Tanshi Village, Xinfeng County, Shaoguan
🚙Transportation: About fifteen kilometers from Xinfeng County, next to the 105 National Road, it is recommended to drive by yourself, parking is convenient
👣Tour: The nine buildings and eighteen wells are the largest Weiwu in Xinfeng. They are basically well-preserved, with a complete layout, and there are also added houses in the alley. The descendants of the Huang family have all moved to the new houses next door. It is currently a small unpopular attraction. There are descendants selling mountain goods at the door of the main house, and you can also listen to their memories of their ancestors' once glory. You can also visit the ancient village of Xiutian nearby to see the Chongyang tree that is more than 400 years old, and visit Baoyuantang and Huanggong Temple
