[2025 George Town Restaurant] Travel Guide for New World Park (Updated May)

#malaysiatrip 📍Rutin, New World Park, Penang Had a delightful lunch here at Rutin! The restaurant is located in the heart of Georgetown Penang, and parking spots are easily found as they have designated parking spots. The restaurant is big with multiple tables and seatings, great place for gatherings and meet ups! The interior is nicely decorated with minimalist and clean design, muji vibes seats and love that they incorporate lush greeneries in store. They offer a huge menu with a wide array of food comprising of western to Chinese to dimsum. We ordered sour and spicy soup noodle, kaya and butter bread, carbonara spaghetti. All of the food was delicious and well cooked! Would recommend this place!

New World Food Court ❤️❤️❤️ Located at: Jalan Burma, George Town, 10050 George Town, Pulau Pinang There are different countries and local food concentrations, curry noodles must choose ~ soup super rich and super spicy, fresh seafood, pork blood very smooth and seasoned 😋😋 Wonton noodles are relatively light, but taste good, noodles soft and hard moderate, intestine super smooth and put a lot of juice, very good coffee and fragrant and smooth

Penangites are no stranger to the famous food court – New World Park. It is one of the most happening food courts in Penang that gets really crowded in the morning and during lunch hour. Serving a wide variety of street food under one roof, it is a place where locals enjoy their meal with family and friends. Officially launched on 18th January 2008, this unique landmark located in the heart of Georgetown is the food spot for both locals and foreigners. After a brief renovation, New World Park is now back with more than 80 food choices to satisfy all of you cravings of Penang’s street food. This is a food court where you can eat mainly Southeast Asian food at low prices. My friend and I ate a lot of food from various countries 😋 - Char Kuay Teow (rice noodles) → The shrimp chips on top were a nice accent. - Mie Goreng (fried noodles from a Malaysian food stall) → The chicken was delicious and the seasoning was suitable for Japanese people. - Penang Laksa (fish-based, rice noodles) → I thought it had a faint fruit flavor, so I looked it up and found out it has pineapple in it! - Nasi Goreng (Indonesian fried rice) → It was like fried rice with less punch. #cnyfeast 📍RUTIN Restaurant, Penang Our go to restaurant in Penang has got to be Rutin Restaurant. They have a few outlets in Penang, including Georgetown and Bayan Lepas area. The restaurant is huge and spacious, plenty of tables and seatings, is able to accommodate larger groups of patrons. Great place for family and friends gathering, have a chat! They offer a huge variation of food and drinks selection, from western food to soupy dishes, to local favourites like nasi lemak. Our go to order is always their sour and spicy soup noodle, whereby we get to customise the ingredients and the spiciness level of the soup. Flavourful soup and fresh ingredients used made it a bowl of hearty and homey dish! Would recommend this place for CNY gathering!

#penangtrip 📍Rutin, New World Park, Penang This is my favourite restaurant serving sour and spicy soup in Penang and has been our go to restaurant whenever craving for some hot soup! The restaurant is huge and they are always crowded and filled with hungry patrons, it’s best to avoid peak hours! We were there on a Sunday afternoon and had to wait for about 20 minutes for our seats. Food was served hot and the wait was alright! Their sour and spicy soup noodle is always top tier and the standard is there, the soup noodle is served with generous ingredients, fresh prawn was used! Love the soup which was clear and flavourful and visitors get to customise the spiciness of the soup as well as the condiments! Such a great place to have a hot meal!

#malaysiatrip 📍Rutin, Penang This has became our family’s favourite place to go to for a bowl of nutritious and delicious soup noodle! The restaurant is always packed with patrons especially during peak hours on a weekend, the overall ambiance is rather lively with chatters and laughters of diners. Love the minimalist decor and huge window panes to allow ample flow of natural lighting into the store! The ordering of food was pretty seamless and easy via QR code. Love that we are able to customise our soup noodle from ordering via the app. My favourite dish would be their sour and spicy soup noodle, which was filled with fresh and generous portion of ingredients, with right heat and spice from the soup. While the noodle was well cooked and easily soaked up the soup, which was absolutely my favourite meal especially on rainy days!
