Italy🇮🇹 |Milan’s gathering place for young people and artists🌟 - Milan Canal District (Naviglio)
Transportation
To get to the Milan Canal District, you can take tram "No. 10" or "No. 12" from Milan Central Station or Milan Cathedral to "Naviglio Grande", or take Metro Line 2 to "P.TA Genova FS Station" and exit the station. Just walk to the "Corso Ticinese Naviglio area".
On this day, we left the Milan Cathedral area for fashion shopping and went to Nice. My friend Virginie recommended her favorite area in Milan, "Milan Canal District Naviglio". Virginie said that she must come after 6 o'clock. The canal district at this time is very crazy!
After actually walking around, I found that she loves the canal area so much. It must be because there are full of bars and restaurants on both sides of the canal. As long as Europeans have wine, it is a good place!
▼ Happy Hour in the Canal District in the evening. The other side of the restaurant is crowded with Europeans drinking and living their lives. However, there are very few people on the side where Piao'er is dining. They are all middle-aged couples sitting quietly in the restaurant enjoying a quiet dinner.
[Canal District Restaurant Recommendation] Ristorante Bellariva
Piao'er wasn't too interested in the restaurants in the canal area introduced on the Internet. Many of the restaurants highly rated on Google were for European tastes, not necessarily Asians, so Piao'er decided to go in if she found one that appealed to her. As everyone knows, the canal After looking around the restaurants in the Happy Hour area, Piao'er felt that they all looked too much like American bars. They were crowded with young people coming in and out and were noisy. They didn't have the quality of a meal at all. I would rather sit down and eat delicious food quietly than save money and drink. After having a great meal, Piao'er finally chose the quiet "Ristorante Bellariva". This restaurant has all the classic Milanese food that Piao'er wants to eat.

It is worth to visit Naviglio Grande in Milan, Italy that renowned for its picturesque scenery, lively atmosphere and vibrant cultural scene. There are lots of restaurants, cafes, unique shops, street vendors and others along waterfront promenade.
The Naviglio Grande is the oldest canal in Milan, connecting the Ticino river near Tornavento to the Porta Ticinese dock. The Navigli district is renowned for its network of canals, particularly the Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese, which wind through the heart of Milan. Lined with colourful buildings, trendy boutiques, and quaint cafes, the canals create an enchanting backdrop for leisurely strolls and romantic moments.
As you stroll along the water's edge, take in the reflections of historic buildings on the canal's surface and feel the lively energy that permeates the air. During the day, the canals provide a scenic setting for boutique shopping, art galleries, and charming vintage stores.
One must-try experience in Milan's Navigli district is sipping hot chocolate at a canal-side café. Milan is renowned for its rich and velvety hot chocolate, and Navigli is the perfect setting to indulge in this delectable treat. Whether you choose a classic café or a trendy artisanal hotspot, the combination of the canal view and the decadent hot chocolate creates a sensory experience that lingers in memory.

Milan's dusk and night
As the afterglow of the sunset gradually disappears on the rippling water, the small tavern stalls on both sides of the river begin to liven up.
The tavern guys are calling out to the groups of people passing by on the roadside. The stalls are full of noise, people eating, drinking, chatting, it's very lively.
The two of us strolled along the canal for a while, couldn't resist the temptation, joined in, and blended into this Italian night life under the night.
Compared to the old and dilapidated Rome, the leisurely and artistic Florence, the tourist-filled Venice, such a lively Milan, it's more like what Italy should look like in my mind now.
