Best time to visit would be afternoon, as you might be lucky enough to observe one of the most beautiful sunset. I will highly recommend visitors to get their water bottles in case snack bars are not available. As working hours may differ from shop to shop. Littering and eating is not allowed inside the park. First stop: Lushun Port, Dalian. We went there during the summer vacation. We stayed in a guesthouse with good hygiene and environment. It cost 375 yuan per night for 3 adults and 3 children. On the first day, we visited the Naval Port Park and Golden Mountain Beach. The Naval Port Park is small and has an entrance fee of 20 yuan per person. Seniors over 60 years old pay 15 yuan, and children under 1.5 meters tall are free. Golden Mountain Beach has very clear water, and you can catch small crabs. The sand is relatively coarse and consists of small stones. It is not overdeveloped, and there are few small vendors. It is a good place to visit. Free entry. On the second day, we got up early and climbed Baiyu Mountain. It is free before 6:30 am. Baiyu Mountain is not big and easy to walk. It is best not to take the small road, as you may be bitten by insects. The view from the top of the mountain is magnificent. Then we drove to Shengya Ocean World. It was very crowded. We exchanged tickets as soon as the museum opened. We went to the aquarium first, as there was no queue in the morning. We also got front-row seats for the show. We recommend that you visit the aquarium first. Then we visited the other four museums.

The Lushunkou scenic area is located on Huanghe Road in Lushunkou District, Dalian City, at the southern foot of Baiyu Mountain, and on the north shore of the Lushun Military Harbor. Facing the main channel of the Lushunkou entrance to the south and connected to the Lushun West Harbor to the west, it was established in 1985 and covers an area of more than 5,000 square meters. In 2020, the renovated scenic area was built with a military theme, and its overall appearance resembles China's first aircraft carrier, the 'Liaoning'. The Lushunkou scenic area offers free admission after 5 pm for sunset viewing! It's known on the map as the Lushunkou Scenic Area, or the Naval Port Park. Most attractions in Lushun charge an entrance fee, which is quite outrageous. Fortunately, admission is free after 5 pm, a fact not widely known unless you've done your research or are a local. The area is quite small, designed in the shape of an aircraft carrier, with some artificial airplane models. A 20-minute stroll is more than enough. It's definitely not worth the full price of 30 yuan, and even less so if you're not there for the sunset. The last two photos were taken from behind the Submarine Museum (with an exorbitant ticket price of 110 yuan). The nearby battery shown on the map is no longer open to the public, so there's no need to visit that anymore.
