National Mosque of Malaysia
The National Mosque of Malaysia has specified hours for tourists. I visited in the afternoon at a little past 3pm. Staff will hand visitors a purple robe to cover up if required to adhere to the dress code. The mosque was very spacious, airy, and peaceful, and I could also see nice views of the surrounding buildings. The architecture is more modern, and the mosque serves as a symbol of national unity.

Alhamdullelah!! Finally here !
Imagine 13 acres of gardens , and a long 73 metres menarat in the middle of it, beautiful space and such a fulfilling experience, everything about the mosque is so beautiful. NATIONAL HERITAGE IN THE HEART OF KL
#klinsider
Officially opened back in 1965, this mosque has been declared as national mosque of Malaysia just right after Malaysia Independence in 1957.
Even multiple major renovation had taken place, still this 15000 capcity mosque remains relevent and amazing together with the modern landscape of Kuala Lumpur.
Infact the newly completed PNB118 ( second highest building in the world) can be easily seen from this mosque without any distractions.
This national mosque can be accessed by KTM kuala lumpur station and Pasar Seni LRT station. If you need to avoid walking, goKL free bus will drop you the. closest possible distance to this mosque ( Masjid Negara bus stop ).
For non muslim visitors, it is advisable to check opening times especially on Friday as it can get very busy due to Friday prayer and therefore completely closed for visitors.

Visiting National Mosque of Malaysia 🕌
My first time going to National Mosque of Malaysia after 29 years of living. It was indeed a very spectacular mosque and national pride.
The design was super artistic with inside garden and mesmerising pond. The prayer hall was big with cool air conditioning - promising a comfortable condition and ambience for praying.
There were a lot of foreign tourists who seems to also amaze with the view of the mosque. For foreigners worry not, they can go inside wearing the purple robe provided by the mosque.
The only con probably was the toilet and ablution area since they were located deep down in the basement. Making it hard to climb down the ladder. Possibly a room to improve 😊

This mosque capacity may fit up to 15,000 people and is situated among 13 acres of gardens. Its key features are a 73-metre-high minaret and a 16-pointed star concrete main roof. It's also designed with 48 smaller domes makes it looked more unique than other mosque.

The National Mosque of Kuala Lumpur is known as the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. The building is modern and different from the traditional onion mosque. Access to the mosque is free, and you can register your personal information at the door. To get off the shoes in the temple, ladies must wear the clothes they provide, which is also free.
In addition to the appearance, we went to their prayer hall. I couldn't go in and can't take pictures before I saw the Raiders, but we consulted before we went in and said that we could shoot. In order not to disturb the prayers of the believers, two pictures were taken quietly.

The Malaysian National Mosque near the Grand Palace is also the largest mosque in Kuala Lumpur. I remember that the blue spires only allow absolute Muslims to enter. Ordinary tourists can only look far. They also need to pay attention to etiquette when entering the mosque. In addition, women must enter the sarong when visiting. Men should not expose their legs or excessive skin. In fact, when you really put on your robes and enter the mosque, you still feel very religious. The grandeur of the building itself is also amazing!

Kuala Lumpur National Mosque, famous mosque in Malaysia. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Built in the 19th century, it covers an area of 55,000 square meters. The roof consists of 49 large and small arches. The largest arch is 45 meters in diameter and has 18 radioactive stars, representing 13 states and five Islamic schools. There is a pool and fountain in the
Temple. There is a spire in the center of the pool with a height of 73 meters. There is a chanting hall that can accommodate 8,000 people, and the decoration style is similar to the Mecca ban temple. One of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia.

The National Mosque has 2 entrances, one is directly accessed by msl. If you are not a tourist who believes in YSL, you should go to another door and put on a big robe and take off your shoes to enter. P.S women also wear the specified veil. Hehehe, in fact, I really want to try on the veil, now a good opportunity! My husband wore shorts, so I also put on a purple robe!
Do you ask me if I want to go into the national mosque and wear clothes? ! When you look at me so high, I know that all are free! ! !
Actually, I think the mosque is estimated to have been built with feng shui, because the wind is very comfortable. If it has not closed, I really want to sit down and blow the wind.

MASJID NEGARA NATIONAL MOSQUE OF MALAYSIA 🇲🇾 🕌
The National Mosque opened in 1965 can hold up to 10.000 worshippers. The dome is adorned with 18 pillars- 13 states od Malaysia and 5 pillars of Islam. To enter as a visitor you need to wear a purple robe-- will get at the entrance but you can also enter once wearing the proper attire . The Beautiful architecture is a feature of one of the most distinguished landmarks in KL. We had enjoyed views of the building externally while on a shore excursion, on this occasion we were able to visit the interior and ancillary areas . Hardly a must see but an interesting building and experience for us who haven't been to many mosques before. #kualalumpur #instatravel #mosque

Kuala Lumpur is all you need for this article
Precautions
1. Malaysia uses the Ringgit, Alipay and WeChat can only be used in a few places, the exchange rate of Ringgit is about 1:1.5. There are ATMs at Kuala Lumpur airport, and if your bank card is enabled for overseas withdrawals, you can withdraw money from machines with the UnionPay logo, and there seems to be a fee of about ten or twenty, I withdrew 2000RM, and my bank card was charged 3060, the exchange rate is still good.
2. The sockets are of British standard, you need to buy an adapter in advance.
3. No need to tip in Malaysia, hotels and other expenses will have their own tax or service charge (5%-10%)
4. Tropical climate, the temperature is not less than 25° all year round, pay attention to sun protection. It's so hot!!!
5. Malaysia values etiquette, you cannot wear camouflage or military uniforms, and you should not dress too revealingly in public places (dress appropriately in mosques and religious places, and you cannot wear too revealing swimsuits on public beaches).
6. You cannot bring food containing pork products when entering the country, the maximum fine is 100K, and you are not allowed to bring cigarettes into the country, smoking is only allowed in designated areas in public places.
7. Fill out the Malaysia entry form in advance.
8. Prepare the English hotel booking and return flight booking in advance, customs can pass quickly.
9. Pay attention to safety when traveling, take good care of your carry-on luggage and valuables (mobile phone!), and be careful to avoid motorcycles.
10. When AirAsia does not have a baggage allowance, the total weight of the backpack + suitcase must not exceed 7KG (power banks and such can be put in your pockets when boarding), AirAsia's air conditioning is cold, wear your coat before boarding, if overweight you can stuff a bit in your pockets. Kuala Lumpur airport only weighs the suitcase for boarding, just not exceeding 8 is fine (my backpack was not weighed). Shenzhen airport weighs the suitcase and bag together, but the lady gave me two free check-ins.

The filming trip in Kuala Lumpur has wrapped up
Kuala Lumpur:
The capital of Malaysia🇲🇾, a combination of Eastern colors and Western civilization, staying in this city for a few days was really surprising, and the following attractions are all worth a visit👍
1. Petaling Street: I absolutely love this district, a Chinatown full of life, 🈶 with a retro streetscape and street graffiti, very wow . You can enter from the main entrance and go left or right. On both streets, there are many food stalls where you can try pork belly and dried pork, which taste quite good, and there are also many great photo spots.
Around 12 o'clock at night, most shops will have ceased operations, leaving a few restaurants. There's also another nice place - 👻 Ghost Lane. It is said that here, in the past when it rained, a group of children👦 would always play in the alleys, and they were called "ghost kids" by the local residents. Over time, this alley has gradually come to be known as Ghost Lane. Despite the mysterious sounding name, the place is not scary at all. Each mural is a record of stories and memories left by predecessors. There are also many special restaurants around, very suitable for uu who like to take photos and are food lovers.
2. The Twin Towers: Once the tallest skyscrapers in the world🏢, currently the tallest twin towers, probably the biggest attraction in Kuala Lumpur. Especially after the lights are turned on at night, it looks even better
3. The National Mosque of Malaysia, located in the center of Kuala Lumpur, is recognized as a symbol of Islam in Malaysia. With a modern and simple exterior, the overall design integrates Islamic art and decoration✨, and the main prayer hall is covered with a 16-pointed star-shaped⭐️ blue roof that folds like ☂ an umbrella, giving the whole building a strong sense of modernity
4. Saloma Bridge: Mainly connects Kampung Baru with the Twin Towers, the roof part is made up of 4100 LED lights💡, which change colors with different festivals at night. It's recommended to visit in the evening when it looks even more charming
5. Independence Square: A must-visit attraction for anyone traveling to Malaysia is Dataran Merdeka Independence Square. This building is a landmark of Kuala Lumpur, making you feel as if you are in Europe rather than a Southeast Asian tourist destination
6. The Royal Museum of Malaysia: If you want to understand the full picture of Malaysia's past and present, it is recommended to start with the country's most famous museum, which was formerly the Selangor State Museum. The museum is divided into 4 exhibition areas, displaying Malaysia's historical economy💰, local tribal customs👯, and the unique tropical flora and fauna🌲 of the area. Here, you can admire ancient natural fossils, and also see displays of Malay group wedding and funeral ceremonies from the 16th-17th centuries. In addition, you can also see treasures such as porcelain and tortoiseshell furniture left by Zheng He during his voyages to the West💎

The National Mosque of Malaysia - a fusion of religion and art, being there brings a sense of tranquility
The National Mosque is one of the larger mosques in Southeast Asia, completed in 1965. It is a complex that includes a prayer hall, a large minaret, mausoleums, and office buildings. Its design and decorations are similar to the three major mosques in Mecca, with a grand and imposing presence. It is an outstanding representation of Islamic architectural art, interpreting the brilliant culture and art of Islam in a modern way, novel and wonderful.
The roof of the main hall is composed of 49 different-sized circles, forming 18 spectacular radial starbursts, symbolizing the 13 states and the 'Five Pillars' of Islam. Behind the main hall is a beautifully designed mausoleum, where the coffins of Muslim heroes are deeply enshrined.

The National Mosque Kaula Lampur
#malaysiatrip This mosque is specifically designed as a "national mosque" for Malaysia and can be quite obvious from its location near the Parliament and Perdana Botanical Gardens. Fitting with its status, its main prayer hall is expansive and is supported with large supporting halls on the outside for peak times, especially for Friday prayers.
However, one of the problem is actually accessing the mosque. Although it is visible from the Pasar Seni MRT/LRT station and the Kuala Lumpur KTM station, access is tough with almost 1km worth of walking from the MRT/LRT station as the skywalks zigzag to weave through the Klang River, the KTM station, and the road in front of the mosque. However, the entire path is covered so it is quite comfortable.

It is advisable to go early, as entry requires wearing a robe provided by them. Going early ensures you don't have to wear one that has been worn by others, as the robes are not breathable and can have a strong odor of sweat.
The mosque is indeed beautifully constructed and is very suitable for taking photos. I think a 30-minute visit is sufficient.

Step into the National Mosque of Kuala Lumpur and experience the serene and tranquil atmosphere
🌟 Highlights:
The National Mosque of Kuala Lumpur was built in 1974 and is one of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia, accommodating up to 8,000 people in prayer at the same time. The mosque is predominantly white with a modern and minimalist design that still looks contemporary. The cascading umbrella-like roofs are eye-catching, and the outer hall with its forest of pillars and geometrically patterned windows is very much in the Islamic style. The interior of the mosque, including the prayer hall, corridors, and library, is decorated similarly to the three major mosques in Mecca, with the main dome of the mosque featuring 18 stars, representing the 13 states of Malaysia and the five pillars of Islam.
👍 Most recommended:
Inside the mosque, there are not many visitors, giving off a quiet and ethereal feeling. Although not very familiar with Islam, what's important is to go in and feel the religious atmosphere. Compared to the heat outside, walking barefoot on the cool floor is very comfortable.
📝 Tips:
✅ Entrance to the mosque for a visit is free, and you can register your personal information at the entrance. Visiting is limited to certain times of the day, with a break at noon and reopening around three in the afternoon. On Fridays, which are the main prayer days for Muslims, the mosque is only open for a few hours.
✅ Shoes must be removed before entering, and women need to wear long robes, while men in shorts must also wear long robes, which are provided for free.
🚉 Transportation address:
The National Mosque is located near the old train station in the central area of Kuala Lumpur, not far from Petaling Street and Independence Square, about a ten-minute walk.

It's right next to the Islamic Art Museum we visited earlier, so we checked in on the way. This mosque was built in 1957, the first year of the Federation of Malaysia (declaration of independence), and is the national mosque of the country.
🖼️🖼️🖼️🖼️
The mosque hall is covered with a 16-pointed star concrete roof, and the minaret is 73 meters high, symbolizing open and closed umbrellas, which subtly reflects the climate characteristics of Malaysia, a tropical country. From this point of view, the design is quite ingenious.

National Mosque of Malaysia
Howard Ashley &Hisham Albakri& Baharuddin Kassim, 1965
In Malaysia, mosques are located all over the country. The National Mosque, located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, covers an area of 5.5 hectares. The mosque was proposed by Malaysia's first Prime Minister Rahman in 1957 and was completed in 1965. The architectural style of the National Mosque is simple and beautiful, with a grand momentum.
The National Mosque can accommodate 15,000 people at the same time. The building is a reinforced concrete structure system. It symbolizes the aspirations of Malaysia, which had just gained independence at that time, with a 73-meter spire and a concrete roof as the main. The inspiration for both comes from the shape of an umbrella, which is synonymous with the tropics. The 18-pointed star on the main roof reminds people of an open umbrella. The main roof was once pink, and now it is covered with blue and green tiles. The 18-pointed star dome comes from Malaysia's 13 states and the five pillars of Islam. Concrete folding plates are used to achieve the larger span required for the mosque hall.
The National Mosque of Malaysia is very different from the 'onion head' dome of ordinary mosques, with a special star-shaped roof, a light and dignified style, especially the forest-like colonnade outside the prayer hall, creating a sense of modernity and space, bringing out a bit of solemnity and mystery.

The largest mosque in Southeast Asia
The Kuala Lumpur National Mosque (Masjid Negara) is located on a small hill between the old Kuala Lumpur station and the Lakeside Park. Its style and decoration are similar to the Grand Mosque in Mecca. It is a representative of Islamic architecture and has become a landmark building in Kuala Lumpur besides the Twin Towers. Here are some suggestions for visiting the Kuala Lumpur National Mosque:
●Best time to visit: November to February of the following year is the dry season in Malaysia. The weather is clear and warm during this period, which is suitable for visiting the Kuala Lumpur National Mosque.
●Tour route: Kuala Lumpur National Mosque, Kuala Lumpur Tower, Central Art Walk.
●Transportation guide: You can take a taxi to the Kuala Lumpur National Mosque.
●Precautions: There are many street intersections near the Kuala Lumpur National Mosque, so be careful when crossing the road; protect your belongings in crowded places to prevent thieves; if you are sensitive to durian, stay away from durian stalls because the smell is strong.

The National Mosque of Malaysia
Masjid Negara is what the locals call the National Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. This mosque was built in 1965 in honor of Malaysia gaining independence from Great Britain without any bloodshed in 1957. It was originally to be named Masjid Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj in honor of Yang Teramat Mulia Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, who was the Chief Minister of Malaysia during British rule and the first Prime Minister after the Malaysians began ruling themselves, but he declined the honor and instead chose Masjid Negara as the name.
