Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves
One of New Hampshire’s popular vacation spots is Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves.
Nestled in the White Mountain’s Kinsman Notch, this top New Hampshire destination is a spectacular landscape shaped by forces of water, weather, and time.
Lost River, aptly named because it disappears or gets lost beneath a glacial gorge, has been a fun tourist attraction for many years.
Exploring Lost River and Boulder Caves is an exciting adventure for aspiring or novice explorers.
Of note, hiking, adventure, and nature are the main draws to this awesome New Hampshire site.
One notable area feature is the one-mile-long boardwalk trail which is suitable for more experienced hikers.
Visitors can explore the Boulder Caves system on self-guided tours that call upon you to navigate tight and dark spaces.
Moreover, on-property facilities include a gift shop, restrooms, a sheltered picnic pavilion, and a gemstone mining sluice.
If you’re asking yourself where to go in New Hampshire, this slice of heaven is your answer.

Rev Up Your Engines for a Speeding Journey Through the History of the Corvette
#2024mapped Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA
A visit during our spring break trip to the National Corvette Museum were we got to experience the legacy of America’s Sports Car, the Chevrolet Corvette. The kids even got a free Hot Wheels Corvette to take home. The museum showcased the history that spans over seven decades, the evolution of the design, engineering, and of course the Chevy spirit. There were lots of interactive exhibits and rare memorabilia. The Museum truly was a celebration of innovation, speed, and the appeal of the Corvette, it was a fun journey through time for our family. I enjoyed the sink hole exhibit, in 2014 a sinkhole collapsed in the Skydome of the museum. No one was in the building when it happened, but security cameras were on and caught it all on camera and a bunch of Corvettes fell in (so sad) they had to be recovered out of the hole and the exhibit tells the story of what happened that day, why it happened, what cars were affected, how they were recovered & repaired, the caves that were discovered, how the building was fixed, and much much more. They created a manhole that leads into one side of the cave to provide access and you can actually see down into it through a window in the floor to see the sinkhole, over 30 feet down! So what I learned here was even in a museum things are not always safe AND there are caves and sink holes EVERYWHERE in Kentucky! A nice visit on a rainy day if you're in Kentucky and don't have anything else to do go learn about the history of the Corvette.

Enjoy colorful art, eclectic music and great hand tossed pizza at Mellow Mushroom
#2024mapped Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA
My family stopped here while on Spring Break in Kentucky. The pizza was awesome! We got a half Holy Shiitake and the other half Mighty Meat. The astomosphere was so fun, it was a hippy vibe with a big mushroom art installation in the middle of the restaurant. We even got lucky and there was a live band performing while we were eating dinner. The band even played one of my favorite Nirvana songs, Lake of Fire. There were also some art installations outside we got some photos with. Overall a different atmosphere as far as a places to eat then we are used to but totally our vibe and we enjoyed ourselves. If we ever are back in the area we will definitely make a point to stop again to try out some more pizza options as they had alot to choose from.

Experience one of the largest natural cave entrances in the Eastern U.S.
Lost River Cave, Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA
Lost River Cave is a 7 mile cave system. The river originates outside of the cave and flows into it. The cave contains one of the largest natural entrances in the Eastern U.S. Go book a 45 minute boat tour with a guided walk along the river’s edge to learn about the history of the cave and its surroundings. You will learn so much and get to see the blue hole(it was more green the day we went because all of the sediments coming up from the rain) after that you will arrive at the massive cave entrance where you board the boat. The cave is gorgeous and at the beginning to get in, you have to duck your head and sit pretty far down in the boat and dunk as to not hit your head before it opens up. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and such a joy. She made lots of jokes and answered all of our questions. We very much enjoyed learning about the history and fun facts of the cave. We also got to see two little bats hanging out in there plus I even got a drop on my head and my leg from the water dripping down which the guide said was a lucky kiss from the cave! The tour is fairly short but perfect for first timers to get an experience of what it's like being in a cave. The grounds are well kept with asphalt paths most of the way as well as a little park area for kids to play and alot of painted murals for fun photo ops.
