One of the great moments of my Beijing trip was to see the beauty of National Centre for the Performing Arts at the evening. It is also known as NCPA in short form. This egg shaped building is a sign of great modern architecture in China.

Someone who doesn't understand opera has a special feeling for Peking opera. In the days without TV or the Internet, listening to opera was the most popular pastime for ordinary people, and it is also a childhood memory of mine. After parking, take the elevator to B1. Here are some photo spots at the NCPA. ●First floor lobby: There are sculptures with open mouths on the first floor. The floor has a symmetrical structure with reflections. It can be crowded on weekends. There are two sides where you can take photos of the reflections. Choose the side with fewer people. ●Sunken square: Take photos from the first floor downwards. The sunken square is very symmetrical and beautiful. Take the elevator to B1 and take photos from the bottom upwards. However, I was asked to leave by the staff after taking one photo. ●Intersecting elevators: The elevator area on the second and third floors. The photographer stands on the stairs and takes photos of the elevator. The symmetrical elevator gives a sense of time travel. ●Next to the stairs on the third floor: Go up to the third floor. You can see the sunken square on one side and take photos downwards. The glass and reflections form a crescent shape. #christmastrip For Christmas, our workplace took us to see a show at the National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing! 🎭🇨🇳 Located right near Tiananmen in the heart of Beijing, the Theatre is almost like an upside-down skyscraper: for airspace purposes, the structure couldn’t be tall. So they built it downward, into the ground! 😱⬇️ Winding escalators take you through the building’s many levels, with theater halls and art exhibitions placed generously throughout. There were even some fast food restaurants! 🍟🖼️ Our workplace took us to see a Beijing Opera show, which is very different from opera as we know it in the West. The performances were intriguing and fun to watch! 🎤🎶🎎 I consider the National Center for Performing Arts to be one of Beijing’s modern wonders. The architecture and furnishings are breathtaking and massive.
