The Nijisseiki Pear Museum is located in Kurayoshi City, Tottori Prefecture. It is a unique and one-of-a-kind museum. We really liked it here. Nashikkokan is the only pear museum in Japan. The first thing we saw when we walked in was the giant Nijisseiki pear tree, the symbol of Tottori Nijisseiki Pear Museum. Its branches are 20 meters wide and weigh almost 1 ton. It is on display to welcome you. The Pear Museum is the only museum that specifically displays pears, from the Showa period when pears were first cultivated as a local export product until the present. In this museum, there are many varieties of pear trees from around the world to see. There is a place to taste and compare the tastes of 3 types of pears throughout the year. This should be the most popular corner in the museum. Our team tried some and liked them. Or get off at Kurayoshi Park Square Kitaguchi (倉吉パークスクエア北口), walk for about 8 minutes.

In addition to being famous for eating crabs, Tottori also has different varieties of pears. We left at the Kuryoshi Onsen Hotel and dragged our suitcases to the Twentieth Century Pear Museum. We had seen some of the red leaves outside the museum, took pictures for a while, and then entered, the museum displayed a 74-year-old twentieth century pear tree specimen, a very large old tree, was a checkpoint. I think it is more suitable for children, there are different games for them to get to know the knowledge of pears, insects, however are Japanese, English mainly. Adults may be a bit bored to go, but with the opportunity to go outdoors to see the pear trees, in fact, I was the first time to see different varieties of pears up close. With the ticket, you can eat three varieties of pears for free. There are also souvenirs and pear products outside the museum. I bought 2 bottles of pear juice. Some pear products are sold in souvenir stores. If the suitcase is too big, there is actually room for luggage at the ticket office. If you want dessert, there are pear ice cream and other ice products For staples, there are soba noodles in the venue, but the prices are more expensive, instead walking outside the pavilion, there are other affordable small shops.
