Jimo is located in Jiaozhou Bay, Shandong Province. It faces Laoshan Mountain in the east and the south of the Yellow Sea and is adjacent to Qingdao. It is known as the "backyard of Qingdao" and the "throat of Jiaodong". It is one of the four cities under the jurisdiction of Qingdao.
Qingdao is a hundred years old and Jimo is a thousand years old. The ancient city of Jimo is the historical origin of Qingdao. The project is based on cooperating in creating and inheriting Jimo’s thousand-year-old historical context and recreating the glorious style of the ancient city of Jimo.
On the site of Wanshou Palace in the ancient city of Jimo, the philosophical logic of Chinese landscape is carried forward through the integrated design of planning, architecture, landscape and interior design.
Use a freehand brushwork technique to achieve "freehand brushwork of life" and create a modern Chinese elegant living scene.
The hotel is centered on the Wanshou Palace and combines the winding paths of traditional gardens. Streets, courtyards, gardens, all public spaces and guest rooms are harmoniously distributed, with a new view at every step.
A space suitable for both movement and stillness, where "there are great scholars chatting and laughing, and no unlearned people coming and going. One can tune the zither and read the golden scriptures without disturbing the ears with stringed instruments or tiring the body with paperwork."
Make those who live there forget their old age, those who stay there forget going home, and those who visit there forget their tiredness. When the air is warm and clear, it is chilly; when the weather is cold and biting, it is warm and sultry.
If one only wastes time on earth and wood and pursues red and white, it will be like being put in shackles and cages.
